Default Bank fraud

I've lost my debit card a few times and I noticed that all they ask for at the bank to give you a new one with a new pin is some photo ID. Not sure if all banks are like this, but BMO is. If your far enough away from home and not too worried about cameras you could find someone that banks at a certain bank, get a fake ID with said person's name on it and then get a new card and pin and then you could withdraw however much the person has available if you withdraw from a bank teller and not the ATM. I know this is stupid because of all the cameras in banks, but it's just a thought.

They make the cards at the bank?

My card has my name raised on it. I didn't know they make these at the local bank.

Also, if a person has a high quality fake ID of someone, and they have that persons account number, they can go in, fill out a withdrawal slip, and withdrawal funds.

Also if you have someone's card and PIN#, you can just walk to the bank machine, deposit the blank check, and now you got free money, but some people card you can only take a little bit of money because they have a limit

At my bank, the persons name is not printed on the debit card. They have new cards at the bank stuck to a paper that has the pin hidden on it. And yes, the old one would get cancelled as soon as you got a new one, but you would still have time to withdraw money before the real owner of the account complains.

I think there just temporary cards until they can send you a new one by mail.

I'd use a different bank.

Even prepaid cards have a name engraved on them.
