Fuck you, that shit was bad ass. I spent hours designing ships to look like Twisted Metal cars and other badassery, then spent even more time clearing all the courses with 100% kills to get new blueprints.
All the blueprints sucked, but I loved everything about the gummi ship stages and designing them.
I've never been a completionist, but I thoroughly enjoyed that little side-game. Getting all the extras was just a side effect of playing it so much.
As for the series in general, it was pretty fun. I still play it sometimes when I babysit my sister's kids. Her son's completely bewildered that I know anything about the series--I'm just like "Bitch, please. I was playing this shit before you were born."
Next time I'm over, I'll try to get a picture of the Keyblade I made him for his birthday.
I played Chain of Memories, didn't like it. I never owned any other handheld consoles to play it on, so never really tried. The PS2 games were good fun, despite the story being pretty stupid (and borderline incoherent).
