You still feel the same way about her, but you have trouble going out into public with her and just being seen with her in general becomes an unwanted hassle. Would you tell her you feel this way?

• lets say she asks your opinion on what to wear:
  "hey, what ever happened to that *insert piece of no-longer-fitting clothing here* you used to wear? It was really sexy"

• Try to lift her up (as part of a hug or something), then fake a back injury and follow it up with a line like
  "That used to be so easy for me. I must be out of shape"

• Claim that you feel like you've been putting on weight and invite her to diet with you. Or just use it as an excuse to get all the junk food out of the house.

• If all else fails, saw through part of the legs on a chair you know she will use. When it breaks under her weight, say something like
  "maybe its time for a diet"

Hah this is great. My girlfriend started eating much more since we've been together so long, I'm a little worried. She loves to eat but always kept her diet under control, i kind of feel like the whole serious relationship thing is making her forget looks still matter.

what I was planning to do was just start going to the gym and working out myself, if I get better looking it might motivate her to.
