To all the Mad conductor fans on zoklet
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/...es-lp?ref=live
Quote:
At least 51% of our success as a band is due to the dedicated interest and good-hearted-nature of our rock solid fanbase; one that has been going strong and growing since 2006. Recently I have noticed many underground bands having great success using the kickstarter fund raising program to gather the necessary funds for creating and releasing albums. At first I dismissed this avenue as a cop out for good-old-fashioned hard-work, barely considering using it for my own project. But then after conferring with some open-minded associates who I am lucky to have by my side I had to agree with them that Kickstarter is a modern tool designed to help otherwise stagnant projects get off the ground, since the main concern is delivering quality music to the people who want to hear it there is no shame in taking advantage of any possible assistance or resource. And so, we have decided to try using Kickstarter to raise funds for the "MC Rises" Full-Length. Our goal is to raise $5k to fund the recording and pressing of the album. At this time our estimated release date can be no more specific than spring of 2013. Although we are eager to deliver all of our new jams and ideas to the world, we cannot rush the process. However, we are hard at work and plan on releasing singles from the MC Rises full-length every season until the ultimate beast is ready to be unleashed. We have a lot in store and many tricks up our sleeves for this new MC full-length but only with your majestic benevolence can our art thrive!
My heart is a deep-dark cave with one million bats flying from it in your direction, each one carrying a message of sincere gratitude from me to you for your continued support. And for those of you just learning about our humble project please know this: We love music, and our main goal is to create something that will make people happy - in the near future and for generations to come, like so many marvelous works of art before us. I know times are tough, but all contributions to our noble cause will be appreciated even after death with every fiber of our being.
Thank you.
Peace.
-MC

Re: To all the Mad conductor fans on zoklet
These guys are a local band from my area that stemmed from the band No-Cash they're really good, and one of the reasons they're going about this is because they have been screwed out of most of their money in previous ventures due to crook like managers and record companies. Check out their music, and if you like it please donate. These guys are good fellas and I'd love to hear more of their work. I just wished they played more shows, they don't even play the local venues anymore.

I've never heard of these guys before. Would you mind throwing me a few song titles that I can listen to, in order to get a good feel of their band? Maybe, I'll end up liking them! My ears are always open to new music.

Tomb Diggin Shovels, Venom, All Things Considered, Marifasa Lupina. A few of my favorites.

Re: To all the Mad conductor fans on zoklet
I thought the singer from No-Cash was doing some spin-off hardcore rap thing?
Anyways, if it's anything like No-Cash I'll listen to it. "A Better Tomorrow" is one of the all time great jams.

It's really nothing like it.... but still its got the punk energy with a hip hop delivery thats coated in a grimey layer of psychedelia.
