Wine
Who drinks it? What do you drink?
I honestly couldn't stand wine until I tried a Columbard. Not exactly a common white wine, and its fucking amazing. 1 bottle of wine = a perfect buzz

They got it around here most of the time. If you havent had it before avoid the red bannana flavor. Anything else is fine but I remember when the grape had a higher alcohol percentage than the others. Now it's the same as the rest.

Re: Wine
I really enjoy Malbec. The ones I've had are all from Argentina, and they have a really smooth, sweet and tangy taste.
I'm not too experienced in Wine, but out of the four or five types I've had it's deffinitely my favorite.
Unfortunately, I have never experienced the pleasure that is "fortified wine"

I love red wine. White is okay, too - but, I prefer red. My family has always been big on wine - we always have a few bottles in the house.

Now that I look it up, technically its "wine with a spirit added (usually brandy)", But, I was talking about high alcohol content gas station wine, like "Mad Dog".

this. i actually like most reds, except chianti (i know, how very un-Hannibal). i'm not a big fan of whites but i'll drink a reisling or a sauvignon blanc on occasion. no chardonnay though.

I'll buy a case of this stuff and finish a bottle a night then not touch it for several months. I know $2 wine is probably low quality, but I love the taste and it goes well with like everything. Greasy cheese pizza and two buck chuck? That's called weeknight dinners for the last month.

Boones farm? Faggot that isn't wine its carbonated, flavored alocholic soda. 5.9%. Fuck at least mad dog is 12% but here it's &4.99 a 750ml bottle so fuck that. If I feel like drinking wine like tonight i get a 1.5l bottle of gallos for 5.99 @ 13% abv and a couple 24 oz steel reserves for when the wines gone.

Re: Wine
I'm serious, who actually drinks wine? That shit tastes terrible. Every time my friends get my to try some, it's always "give this a shot, I promise you'll like it, it's great stuff."
Unsurprisingly, it's never different. it's all the same watery cheap-tasting booze. I'll just stick to gin.

Re: Wine
Wine, my drink of choice.
I find the majority of European and American wines rubbish/tasteless unless I'm buying top shelf.
If you like white wine, try any sauvignon blanc from Australia or New Zealand. If you want the best out of those two countries try any sauvignon blanc from the Marlborough region of New Zealand. Regardless of price, its always good. My favourite of the all is probably Mudhouse estate who also have wineries in the Hawkes Bay and Canterbury regions which produce decent wine of other varieties.
Red wines? I mainly stick to pinot noirs, rather than the blends.
Get a shit one? Sangria or mull it to make it better.

Re: Wine
wine is for fags (see the 3 posters above me)
Wine is very overrated. Beer is better for so many reasons; people should have no excuse to drink wine, ever. Beers have a much more complex taste profile and it effects a large part of your palate than any wine. Beer has a much wider variety of ingredients and tastes. Plus carbonation adds a whole other dimension to the tasting experience (in addition to cleaning your palate). You can also match a wider variety of foods with a suitable beer than is possible with wine.
Plus wine "aficionados" aka fags, are pretentious fucks

Only wine I've tried so far that I've liked is Riesling. Only beer I've tried so far that was remotely tolerable was Sapporo.
I still prefer the hard stuff.

Don't get me wrong, I love beer and drink a lot of it but a good wine/food combo is much better than any beer/food combo I've had.
I'm not a wine fag, I just grew up around it (on a vineyard) with wine at most meals. It's just something that's continued into my adult life away from the vineyard.

quoted for truth.
Me? I'm a fan or reds mostly, particular blends like cabernet marlots. I tried some shit the other night that's pretty popular here called fifth leg. Its a blend of cabernet merlor sauvigon and something else. You'd think they'd all just mush each other out but the blend makes a well balanced drink
