Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City
1. lol, who names a game 'racoon city'
2. it only got a 4.5 rating at Gamespot ( well not like I trust them, but still )
Has anyone played it? Is it a big pile of poo?
The first Res Evil scared me pretty good, but I was much younger then.

Re: Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City
It's HORRIBLE. I returned it 45 minutes after playing it. The online play is so fucking terrible. They don't match you up with people based on where you're at in the game. You could join a game at the end scene, even if you've only had the game for 2 minutes.

Animal Crossing: Racoon City,
But what Sleep said is read enough not to buy the game for me. I heard it was choppy as fuck like that too, I didn't think it was going to be that bad though.

RE is dead.
I would say the RE 'franchise' is dead; but that kind of terminology is why it's dead in the first place.

I heard mercenaries and revelations were both solid games. Plus judging on the sale from 4 and 5, the franchise is doing pretty well.

Re: Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City
I'll stick to the earlier games, thanks.
I think RE could make a comeback if it returned back to basics, and added more survival horror and less action. Much as I like the action, sometimes it's nice to take a slower pace. It creates a mood and builds tension. Of course, tbat would be more suited to a single player game than any multiplayer.

RE 4&5 were good for the franchaise, but bad for gaming.
Soulless, uninspiring games which left 0 impression after playing.

Re: Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City
I actually enjoyed it.
It could have been better, much better, but still it was enjoyable.
Think Gears of war crossed with Resident Evil.

Don't be a fool, RE4 is one of the best games of that decade. How it couldn't have left a good impression on you is beyond me.

Really? I wouldn't go as far as to call it soulless, it was fun, but it certainly wouldn't win any awards from me. The gameplay was fun, but there was _nothing_ new in that game, plus it kinda ruined the awesome vibe that was set up in the previous 3 canonical games and side-games.
