They made this game so easy and mindnumbing yet I still can't stop playing. Basically you just run around clicking on everything. It never gets particularly difficult. At least not yet for me.

55 wizard here, i find both Hell and Nightmare to be far too easy.
I hope Inferno lives up to its name.

It's pretty much the same difficulty level as D2. I think D2 was perhaps even easier. Playing with friends is a blast though.

When do you unlock other difficulties, about to start act 2 on my monk and its been a faceroll so far, the two bosses didn't give me any trouble at all Unless act 2 is harder then I'm all for that.

nightmare mode is still easy, hell mode on the other hand isn't.

D2 was never particularly difficult either. It's not about spending 8 hours fighting 1 boss in a bullshit style WoW raid. It's about fuckin shit up and beastin your way through hordes of demons and undead.

maybe i don't remember it being hard because my hdin pally on d2 hit for over 10k with hammers, cleared hell chaos runs in minutes and doesn't afraid of anything as long as maphack had my back

Level 56 Demon Hunter here. If you found Normal/Nightmare easy, just wait for Hell. Apparently Diablo III is all about the elite mobs.

I hope it escalates to something challenging, that stays entertaining and playable for some time. Elite mobs could be great fun. Looking forward to Hell mode.

I have a full set of vit/dex gear and I still get 1-2 shotted by regular monsters in Hell. Factor in a illusion, jailing mortar mob and it's just ridiculous. I can't imagine Inferno

Okay boys, first off, I want to share a little secret, in case you don't know yet. If you go into the game and hit Options -> Gameplay, Find Elective mode and check it off. This will allow you to use ALL of your skills on anyone of your bindings, instead of using the school of 4 skills you do at the moment. Which also means you can use several of your skills from the same 'school'. This opens up limitless possibilities for most classes, and is definitely a must. Didn't know about this shit till past hell, so stupid.

I played a demon hunter with 4 mates, and its definitely easy normal -> Hell. We were Barb, Demon, WD and a Monk. Pretty much ragged it through, except on the bosses where it becomes harder to take it in groups then solo, namely Diablo and Belial, where you have to move alot, which my mates just could not seem to do and Diablo where the illusions start to get crazy when there is 4 of them.
But damn, inferno... thats a completely different ballgame. You get mobs with 4 abilities that go completely crazy and 1 shot most of your party. You either gotta bypass them if they are too hard, (Like Jailer, Arcane, Walls, teleport or some bullshit like that) or just slowly grind them down. There is supposed to be some tactics where Ganja man
curses them to do less damage and you should be able to tank them.. Not sure though, but they sure a challenging at least.

We rushed though, but im gonna make a chill character as well, enjoy the lore etc etc. I play Europe server, Elohim#2179 hit me up if you wanna GAMEEE.

1) How much does it cost?
2) How fun is it, compared with Diablo II: LoD?
3) How addicting is it, and how much time do you spend playing daily?
4) Is it broken or dominated by powergamers, or can I have fun?
5) Are the servers reasonably stable at this point?

1) $60+tax, like most new releases.
2) Diablo II: LoD being about as close to hack-and-slash perfection as one can get, I'd say Diablo III is... 80% as fun. Which is still great.
3) I can't say really. I never got hooked on WoW and some would say WoW is like crack. This game has a way of sucking you in I guess, but it feels easily forgettable. I stopped playing and didn't log in for more than a week, and ~3 of the people on my friends list haven't logged in for over 10 days.
4) The only complaint I've heard so far really has been about the DRM and some of the affix combinations monsters get in Inferno, but it's not broken or buggy in the slightest.
5) I haven't been disconnected once. The servers have been pretty much perfect since a couple days after release.
