Cheapest US pharmacy to buy diazepam?

I've just been diagnosed with back spasms and one of the prescriptions is for diazepam. I know when I had my wisdom teeth out it cost like $12 USD for like two pills of valium. Fuuuuuuck that!

So say between like CVS, Walgreens, Wal-Mart etc, which is the cheapest place to buy this?

Nah, the price varies a little bit and certain generics at Wal-Mart only cost $4 USD for a months supply.

I think you are confused here. I am confident you were not prescribed Valium for tooth removal.

Additionally, something like cyclobenzaprine would more likely be prescribed for "back spasms" since it is a skeletal muscle relaxant.

Diazepam is prescribed for spasms all the time.

OP, just call up the different pharmacies and ask, they'll tell you. The only thing they get pissy about is when you call and ask if they have something in stock. Look into one of those online prescription savings cards, they're these free printable discount cards that you can give to the pharmacist and it shaves some money off your bill, not as much as actual insurance of course but enough to make a difference.

In my experience Sam's Club and Costco have always had the cheapest pharmacies, you don't need to be a member of either place to use the pharmacy, just walk right in, if they ask you for your membership card tell them you're there for the pharmacy and they will leave you alone.

Don't be so confident, Sparky. It was prescribed for pre-surgery to reduce anxiety, etc. They prescribed me norcos for post-surgery.

Other than diazepam for the back spasms they also prescribed me meloxicam (Mobic), which I've never heard of before but seems to just be an NSAID.

Not retarded, I don't have insurance and apparently CVS is a rip-off. I got my whole valium script filled for $4 USD today at Wal-Mart. So I guess I answered my own question.

Although I thought diaz was expensive, I went to a Big-Y (northeast supermarket chain with in store pharmacy) in order to get an early fill, and 90ct. 5mg (teva) were $25. Unless the major pharmacies are beyond rip offs, I can't imagine a script costing more than double what I paid at most.

Most benzos are cheap because there are a ton of generic manufacturers, the more generic manufacturers there are for any drug the cheaper it is because of undercutting competition, just like anything else. Especially Valium which has been around since like the 1950s.
