Who ISN'T A Narcissist?

I read on wiki 1% of people are. Did they really mean 1% aren't? I mean look at facebook. People liking shit because they assume other people give a fuck. I think it's safe to say almost everyone with a facebook page is a narcissist, and internet forums aren't a lot different.

Before I deleted it I only had like 30 friends and I was always deleting them, remembering I didn't like/give a fuck about them, or they were just people from school who I didn't like, which is why I havn't talked to them in years.

And then I found myself doing some of the same things they talked about, like posting on someones wall when they live next door to me. Why else do that but for attention? Because you want strangers looking at your pictures, seeing your "likes" and thinking "wow this is a really interesting guy" lol. But isn't that the whole point of facebook? That and a huge collection of information that I suspect the government uses.

I don't think facebook and the like are necessarily narcissistic. I think people are just social creatures and they are trying to socialize the only way they know how.

Really its a matter of ignorance and not knowing how to carry a conversation or socialize without talking about themselves. From that, facebook was born. The ultimate solution for people like that. Posts about themselves and extremely short conversations in the comments.

I do agree that a lot of them really are just narcissistic, but if I looked through my friends list, I would have to say most just use it to keep in touch with friends.

Tldr: Its mostly retards socializing, not narcissism.

Nah i don't have your kind of narccissm, i am self obsessive but that's another thing. I deleted my FB account ages ago on the fact everyone on there is just how you described, "look at me", some pictures make me want to punch them in the face. The ones with people acting retadedly drunk in the hope that people will see their pictures and think, "wow thats so funny he/she was really fucked last night".

Tbh I'm not the most social person. There are people I need to see but I keep putting it off just because I don't want to have to see or talk to them (what texting is for). The only people I really want to talk to are girls that I've had sex with, or may have sex with.

But people you want or need to talk to you can just call them or go see them. Posting on their wall when 9/10 you don't even really like them and would try to avoid them if they saw them in public so they wouldn't have to talk to them is just for attention. Not having a facebook and not meeting girls online probably does make you less socially retarded but I think most of them just want attention.
