Default Ebay scam

Hey guys. My friend Joey is an avid Ebayer. He buys and sells, but lately has been doing a lot more selling. So naturally, he's been screwed over by a couple of buyers who ended up getting refunds AND keeping the items they bought.

Joey is normally an honest guy, but he's pretty frustrated by this. He just bought an item yesterday and noticed the seller shipped the item without a tracking number. Joey knows this is a perfect in for him to do his share of scamming and get a very nice item for free.

Is Joey better off saying the item just never arrived, or trying to say the item didn't match the description and send back bogus items? Which one is more likely to work?

Also, Joey uses his real name and address for his Ebay account since he buys and sells all the time. Is there a chance this would potentially screw him over?

It doesn't matter if he didnt get sent a tracking number as long as the buyer has one to show paypal it shipped to you. Tell joey to call it a day as karma fucks u. Why fuck someone that did nothing to him.

I agree with the other 2 people , tell joey to fuck off.

Just file Item Not Received and since the seller has no tracking number you are 100% guaranteed to win.

If the seller was too stupid or careless to use tracking then they deserve to be ripped off.

Enjoy the free item!! Karma created this situation so your friend could get something for free to make up for the other people who scammed him. That's how Karma works.

Karma opens doors for you to walk through but it's up to you to do the walking.

Whoever wrote this needs to learn some basic grammar skills. The first sentence makes no sense at all.

The buyer does not need a tracking number. The SELLER must provide a tracking number on all items to prove the item was delivered to the buyer.

If a seller is too lazy, stupid, or gullible to use tracking on all shipments then they have no business selling on eBay.

I would file Item Not Received in 2 seconds and not even think twice about it.

Take a bunch of pictures of your dick and put them in the box. Immediately call the cops ad say this is what he sent you. That may get you no where but no one in their right mind would do that so thats one person on your side. Then tell ebay what happened. A refund is in your near future my friend.

Joey just told me he specifically asked the seller for a tracking number and the seller said they did not have one but shipped priority mail. Joey also said the messages the seller sent him were very poorly written and he/she seems very dumb and a very good mark for this scam. He hopes it goes well.

First of all, wait for the item to arrive before you file anything.

When the item arrives, see if it has tracking. (obviously in this case it probably doesn't) SO Don't e-mail the seller anymore asking 1000 questions about tracking. Just be patient and wait for it to arrive.

If the item arrives without tracking then you just got a free item.

You have to wait 7 days from the date you purchased but after that you can go straight to PayPal, file an Item Not Received dispute. Say you never received the item, it's been 7 days, etc.

Don't wait for the seller to reply or argue with you about this. There is no need to talk to the seller at all, (obviously they will try to convince you to cancel the claim but if they are too stupid/gullible to use tracking then they deserve it) just Immediately escalate the dispute to a claim with PayPal. It will take 10 days from the date you escalate the dispute (PayPal gives it 10 days to see if the item shows up) before PayPal will decide in your favor (since there is no tracking number at all you are 100% guaranteed to win)

If the seller e-mails you or tries to contact you just say you never got it. Stick to your story and you will win.

Enjoy.

Right because only people in school have to talk like normal human beings.

Are you suggesting that anyone who doesn't have a good command of English is not a normal human being? What if English is not the first language for this person?

The package arrived today in a priority mail flat rate box and it had a tracking number sticker on it. :\

Oh well, I can still resell the item for much more than what I paid, and I can always try this method on something else.
