Does smoking in enclosed spaces without proper ventiliation cause damage?
Say, like to the walls, or to paint? Would it cause some type of staining or anything? I'm talking just the smoke itself. Obviously, ashes and such could burn holes in the carpeting and such.
I'll be moving soon, and I'm curious the best way of smoking in places would be. I could just blow it out the window, but I'm afraid of a neighbor looking through and seeing me smoking, or seeing smoke coming out the window.
I'm thinking the most sound way to do this is to get a oney, and just smoke in my yard, so it looks like I'm just smoking a cigarette.

Aside from the residue, I'm pretty sure tobacco smoke is pretty acidic, which will accelerate wear and tear on shit like yours walls. Make them yellow and maybe peel, and the smoke residue will buildup really quick.

In my opinion, yes, pot smoke will leave a mark. Not as bad as cigarettes, but it'll do something. And safety is a concern as well? If you aren't worried about getting caught by people you live with, I think you should make a sploof and just smoke in the house. Open a window to let the room vent. It won't smell too bad. And have some spray handy just in case company comes over, or you're tired of whatever the room smells like (ashes/pot).

Re: Does smoking in enclosed spaces without proper ventiliation cause damage?
I don't really get sploofs. Would I be just get a 2L bottle, cut off the bottom, then tape some dryer fabric or bounce or whatever and put it over/around where I cut?
Or do I have to like, stuff tons of sheets down, retape it, close it off.

I have a basic $50 box/whip and it's been fine, vapes require basic maintenance but it's worth it. Obviously volcano is as good as it gets but personally I wouldn't drop $600 on a smoking device.

Hell yeah, smoke builds up quick and the smell is NOT easy to get rid of, if you can get rid of it at all. Cigarettes or cigars-EXPECT for your house to reek and your walls to get dingy. From experience, it's not good. And opening a window does NOT help, you need to keep all the smoke out.

Re: Does smoking in enclosed spaces without proper ventiliation cause damage?
If you smoke inside and have a fan going the smoke will dissipate enough by the time it goes outside that it won't be noticeable, just smoke at least a few feet back. Or don't even bother with the fan, it depends where you live. Weed smoke hardly lingers at all, just keep a window open occasionally.
As for the neighbors if you wanna sit inside and smoke a "cig" next to the window its your god damn right, why would they care? Unless your living with your parents.

Re: Does smoking in enclosed spaces without proper ventiliation cause damage?
a sploof isn't a 2L bottle bro, it's a toilet paper tube... YOu use like 8 sheets and then double 2 up and put it over one end with duct tape around the tube.
Takes like 10 seconds and the smoke will come out smelling like dryer sheets. I've had smoke go out the window, travel the side of the building and then being sucked in by someone's fan and their room fills with a huge cloud of clean smelling smoke.
No worries bro!~!~!.

You should be more concerned about the damage to your lungs than the damage to the environment - inhaling a lot of smoke, no matter what kind of smoke it is, without proper ventillation is unhealthy.
Dunno about pot, but normal cigarettes leave residual shit all over the place, just look at a ceiling in a place that still allows it indoors, or the bathroom of some fast food joint. There's residue in the smoke.
If you're worried about it, find some cheapass venetian blinds and leave the regular window open.
