Yea that sounds about pretty much the right angle to do it. Knocking out the brain stem will destroy the basic functions of the brain that keeps the body alive.

Just being able to speak to someone is something that relieves a lot of the anxiety and helps you learn to deal with it.
Medication can also be helpful, but that's something that would need be discussed with a doctor.

how exactly should i talk to a therapist about trying out benzos? because they do help me out an extreme amount. but i dont wanna be like ohhh ya ive scroed them on the street and they work can you hook me up?

Re: Ask an MD
I was thinking more along the lines of speaking to someone like a clinical psychologist. For medications you need to speak to either a psychiatrist or general practicioner/internist. As far as that, I think you should probably just be honest. Tell them how you feel, that you tried it from a friend and it helped. Everyone does have their own opinion about benzos though, so it would really depend on who you see. You should remember though that benzos won't help the problem itself, just symptoms.

Re: Ask an MD
A few months ago I had a really bad infection in my hand and they prescribed me cephalexin 500mg's and also bactrim 800/160. Due to certain circumstances I wasn't able to finish except about half my script before being admitted to the hospital.
I now have a bubbled up spot on my hand where I missed a shot that i'm afraid is in the very early stages of infection. I read that both of these drugs come in preparation of half what the original milligram's are. Would taking dosages of 250mg's cephalexin twice daily, and 400/80 bactrim "reinforce" my immune response thus preventing the infection from occuring?
Or would it just keep it at bay for the 7 day regimen, and then it come back full force?

Why does my penis always itch or feel uncomfortable. Where my balls touch my legs and the underside of my dick is always uncomfortable. It's usually sweaty too. I've tried applying gold bond but it doesn't work really. Also I have no stds.

Which could be the reason for the itchiness.
You also have to make sure you dry that shit out after shower.

I got one!
I will be having my gallbladder removed soon. Generally speaking, how much time should I be taking off work after the surgery? My job isn't physical work, it's a desk job.

About the last part I'd say yes. As long as its provoked. Sometimes when I hear women talk in public I want to punch them in the head. Also there have been studies shown that violence and sex are essentially the same thing.

if that last part is true it explains a lot.
its usually not really provoked, its that sometimes ill see a cute asian girls or whatever on the street and instead of thinking "i would bang her" its "aw man it would be cool to punch her hard in the face".
i dunno, i think i might have some very mild sociopathy, i feel empathy for people and everything but at the same time ill be with my family observing a baby blue jay and my biggest urge is to crush it with a rock without getting seen by them. always trying to hit squirrels and pigeons and shit.
also, ive hardly done any work in my life, and i still feel like getting fucked up as hell the day after the hospital/harassing people the day after my court conviction. it turns into "maybe i wont get caught this time" and not "i shouldnt have done that"

Number 1 I'd say is don't be shooting stuff and don't miss you if you do, but I'm guessing you know that already.
Antibiotics work either killing the bacteria or preventing the bacterial growth enough to let your immune system kill off the infection.
We don't usually use bactrim for skin infections either way though in my experience (maybe your situation was different), but cephalexin is definitely used very much for that purpose. But the dose is usually 500 twice a day or higher for 7-14 days depending on the specifics of the infection. They do come in 250 mg tabs, but the dosing is definitely not 250 twice daily. And it's always better to take a full course of what's needed. It's hard to say for sure though what will work in your specific situation. And it may require an incision and drainage if there is abscess formation (which is basically walling off of the infection in which case the antibiotics can't get in).
Again I can't say for sure what will happen in your situation. My suggestion would still be to go to the emergency room (though I know how much that can suck) or your regular doctor if you have one to take a look at it.
If for some reason you are really adverse to that idea, I would say take the cephalexin 500 twice daily (how much do you have?) and keep the wound site as clean as possible, cleaning it constantly. But if it's completely below the skin and you can't get at it then it will very likely need a longer course of antibiotics and possible drainage, and possibly a stronger antibiotic.
Bottom line though is I would say it's really best to have it looked at by a doctor. If you have an infection, i doesn't really matter how you got it (I've seen much worse reasons than a bad injection) and it will always be better to get the full care it needs rather than waiting until it gets worse. It's quite unlikely either way to be something that requires an admission to the hospital.
Hope that helps.

They generally do these procedures laparoscopically now, and without complications you shouldn't really need more than a few days to a week depending on how you yourself feel afterward. Some people can be fine the next day and pain free and others may need even longer depending on how your body in particular responds. It would really be best to speak to the surgeon though to get a fully accurate timeframe, since I don't really deal with this kind of thing.

It's either irritation in which cases keeping it dry with gold bond or baby powder can help, or you can use a hydrocortisone topical cream to decrease the inflammation and itching. Or it could be fungal infection (i.e. jock itch) in which case a topical antifungal (like lotrimin/clotrimazole) would help.
Warm and moist parts of the body are perfect spots for either of those to happen. I'd say try those first and if it doesn't help then go see a doctor who can take a look and maybe try something different.

I'm not really in the game of helping "score benzos", especially since medically it's usually not the better option for whatever the initial problem may be. If you actually need a higher dose then the best way would be telling whoever prescribes them that the current regimen isn't helping. But how that person responds to that (switching to or a different medication) will be entirely up to them.
As far as the second part, it really comes down to if you feel you are going to act on those urges. I don't know if you are currently seeing someone about it and what other issues you may be dealing with, but I would highly recommend seeing someone (psychiatrist, psychologist, or preferably both).
Psychiatry isn't my specialty, but it sounds at least partially like conduct disorder, again depending how you act on it.

Are your pupils permanently dilated, or just in general and more often in the dilated state?
It's something that's better for someone to actually see and test your pupillary response to be able to get a better idea of what's happening. So it's probably a good idea to have it looked at by a doctor if it's something that is a very recent change from the way your eyes normally are.

Re: Ask an MD
So while I was showering I was feelin up on my ballsack and I noticed a harder-than-testicular-tissue LUMP in my scrotum. Let me tell you about this lump. It's attached to my testicle (or some structure) by something. It hurts when I squeeze it. I tried shining a light through it (lol) but unfortunately could not grasp it due to my lack of phalangeal fortitude. It's about the diameter of a dime shaped like an egg. Anyway I've had cysts in the past so I'm wondering if it could be another cyst, or if i've got the ball cancers.

It very well could be another cyst, but I would very much insist on you having it checked out to make sure it's not cancer. Testicular cancer can definitely present like this and it is something that is extremely important to catch early.

It's not the caffeine that worries me with this, but the large amounts of sugar that you are ingesting on a constant basis. You're looking at diabetes, heart disease, and the nasty others that come with it.

Re: Ask an MD
So I don't know if this a lump, or just a gland/node in my neck swelling, but right in the soft spot underneath your jaw there is a 2-3cm lump-like thing; roundish and firm. It's not present in the same spot on the other side of my neck that I can feel, unless it's something that has swelled up on one side and not the other.
I also don't have a cough/sore throat/anything like that people usually get when your glands swell up so whatcha think?
I'm going to an actual doctor on Wednesday anyways, 20 bucks for peace of mind ain't shit.

I would assume a fair amount of time, though you wouldn't be healthy by virtue of the vitamins, minerals, and protein you would be missing. It depends on what you define as your system failing. You can survive just on water for a few months, and the beer would give you calories. It also depends on how much beer you're talking about though, since the alcohol will cause additional problems especially without a separate source of nutrition.

Could just be an enlarged node or gland from an infection, but it's definitely the right choice to have it checked out. Much better to spend the money and find out it's nothing than the other option.

Re: Ask an MD
What's the private talk on smart drugs? As a quick search will show: when doctors talk for public consumption, news reports in MSM and college papers; Smart Drugs = Ritalin and Ritalin = SD's.
End. Of. Story.
You're not going to tell us that only prescription, and thus illegal otherwise, drugs are the only chemical U-students with an interest in such things are using/talking about. Do you think it's a "We can't make no damn profit! Don't even mention that shit!" mentality?
You got to admit you're looking at some decent coin and if you were in another specialty you wouldn't want any messing around with your bottom line.

Not 100% sure what you're asking, but I don't really deal with those meds. But pharma is definitely a business where money is the bottom line.

Re: Ask an MD
Do you trust doctors? A pretty broad question, but feel free to answer however you like. What is your feeling in general? How about allopathic vs. osteopathic vs. homeopathic? I'm interested to know what the general feeling is.

Re: Ask an MD
I believe doctors to be about as trustworthy as patients.
As a species people are generally full of feces.

Re: Ask an MD
So nothing really to do with doctors, you don't trust people in general.

That smell comes from the bacteria and the gasses they produce.
