Out of the big names of the eighties, who made the best action movie and what was it?

I had it narrowed down to JCVD, Arnold, Stallone and Norris for their films Bloodsport, Commando, Rambo II, and missing in action two, respectively.

I gave it too Van Damme for Bloodsport.


For stupidest 80's action movie i nominate Gymkata, and dare you to name a shittier. Actually, I dare the makers of this film to make a shittier movie.

Most definitely, I just don't think it had the body count of the others. It pretended to be a movie about something besides our heroic protagonist killing motherfucking everybody.

BTW - Have you noticed that only in 80s every motherfucking action movie was about a Jesus type lone hero? The only action movie that disregarded it was Lethal Weapon with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover as the two buddies.

Gymkata was awesome. I like that cheesy Chinese crap. Plus that one backwards dude in the village of crazies freaked me out a bit. It was kinda like Remo Williams the adventure begins sorta.
