Well, digital products are fine. Look at Google. However, FB's growth is incredibly limited. It's already started slowing. Stock won't be worth $15 this time next year. I really don't think so.

While I can't see it collapsing but I agree the big bubble will definitely deflate, the share price will drop considerably.

Also I'm not sure what the original thread title was, but is this really better? Collapse suggest it's going to hell, with the title that a 12.5% is could be causing it to collapse. This is definitely a flop, though. If a 12.5% drop 2 days after IPO begins isn't a flop I don't know what is.

Well they're now investigating to see if motherfuckers were comitting fraud by telling some favoured clients that they were cutting it's revenue estimates.

Original thread title was "Facebook IPO flops". Zuper can suck a dick, saying it flopped in the title is not a subjective opinion.

Re: Facebook IPO [COLLAPSES OVER 12.5% AND BREAKS THE IPO PRICE]
Haha, I interpreted "flops" as in "it all went to hell", that's why I changed it(it didn't seem like it did).
As I understand the loss/rise of the initial stock price was expected by pretty much any day trader, "flop" could still be a valid term because their stocks lost value I suppose.
Either way, the current thread title says more about the story than the original, but I can change it back to the original if you want. Doesn't bother me.

All I heard about it in the media was that it's the biggest IPO ever and it's going to be huge and everyone is so excited about it blah blah. And then it happens and nobody wants the stock and it loses several dollars on the share price and the underwriters are having to prop up the price so that it doesn't completely tank.
Oh wait, is "tank" another colloquialism? They had to prop up the price so it didn't chimichanga sombero conquistador gringo.

Zuck is giving no fucks I still contend. I can't believe he seriously tricked all of Wall Street. I'm not an investment genius by any means, but any idiot could tell this was bullshit. I can't believe no one saw this coming.

Re: Facebook IPO Flops [chimichanga sombero conquistador gringo]
I hope everyone starts to leave Facebook quickly, I'd love to see the whole thing go belly up and the sooner the better. It's simply a user friendly, hive minded, circle jerk anyhow that simply has solid security and a recognizable name. I use it no differently to any other website.
I don't understand why everyone doesn't just set up a personal website/blog and run their own ads on it...although in order for the masses to do this they'd have to really on prefabricated 'website builders' and it would simply be moving from one service to another...but hey, fuck Facebook.

I don't believe you. I just can't believe anyone who remotely understands technology would willingly throw money into a black hole and expect it to do anything other than swallow your monies.
If you aren't tech saavy you most certainly shouldn't invest in any tech company until you learn what they actually do.

I mainly just use Facebook for getting new articles and stuff from various media outlets, I barely talk to my non-friends on there. I could probably just go back to RSS feeds and Twitter without much effort.

Yeah I use it essentially for the same reason but there's nothing stopping me from using different services.
There are a few local classified pages that I have bought and sold through - I don't mind this but still I think the structure is a little off, as with most facebook pages.

I guess FB is going to have to start charging a higher premium for all that data they've been mining from the masses.

Kill himself, hopefully. He hasn't got the charisma too do anything particularly great. At least Steve Jobs was a visionary, understood what a lot of people wanted and people knew most of his intentions...and any 'bad' intentions he had, weren't that bad anyway.
No one knows where they stand with that creep Zuckerberg and his less than ordinary 'product'...hence the performance this early on.
His real product isn't Facebook it's got to be the patents that are filed in connection with it.
