That is what I was wondering. Yea your mix sounds terrible and it is boring as shit, but your use of syncopation isn't bad. Keep up the work and add some more variation. Dephdiddy is probably a better resource than I am, but I am fairly knowledgeable about FL studio and production in general. If you have any questions on how to do or use something I'd be glad to help if I can.

You already know then. Good beat base, keep building it up and adding symmetry, melody and suspense/release.
Turntablism is fun. I'm in the same boat. Get the midi keyboard, a korg padkontrol is perfect for the pads. A regular midi keyboard who's keys work well enough for you will do.

IMHO if you cant pattern and swing hip hop drums (which you easily can if you learn) then theres no point in a midi keyboard for fl.. a drum machine sure, but snapping midi in fl still relies on system performance, even if you have a controller or mixer as far as FL it doesnt always work out the way you want... if thats the DAW you wanna work with, get used to all the features, GAT AND OFS are ones you wanna get with... as well as PORTA MONO Swing... then once you get a keyboard you can kill it...
I seen this dude DJ OOCH who had scratcher on his keyboard, where you moved your finger over a digital sensor, and it scratch the note as played.... i tripped out on that shit. we did an all organic bust one time, me on keyboard, he was playing and scratching two tables and my guy was freestyling... it felt like a digital band it was FUN!!
