I'm in search of a decent but descreet neodymium magnet. What weight-support would detatch security tags? For example, the one here: http://www.amazon.com/SUPER-Strong-N...015244&sr=8-29 can hold 35 lbs. I've seen others that are 50lbs but I'm unsure since some of them are so small and it seems like they won't do the job.

Shady your friend was right about banana republic! My friend acquired a nice sweater that was 79 and a pair of jeans that were 79! Was soo easy!

However my friend went to gap saw what looked like super 1 or 2 and it had no place for hook was very bummed.

He then went to staples and grabbed a wireless mouse

He is done for at least a week and will be ordering a couple more tools besides the hook

I know... my friend has REALLY been pushing it with SA. Either her locations didn't have AP there at the time she made each lift or they really, really suck bad.

My friend is depressed now that she knows Sports Authority has LP/AP. She was planning on traveling to several location along the highway & lifting a North Face jacket at each store to sell on ebay. She won't be doing that now. Too bad b/c North Face jackets sell for near retail value on ebay. Another member posted that a few weeks ago & that is where my friend got the idea from. She is thinking about trying for one more jacket.... she needs something to exchange so she can get a North Face jacket for her husband.

I don't think knowing about Sports Authority and their LP will sway my friend. Maybe she is getting cocky, but if everyone elses friends have not been apprehended by the LP there, then she shouldn't either as long as she plays it cool.

Also, I heard that sears & kmart are closing down alot of their stores lol

My friend lifted a jacket at Sports Authority earlier. She couldn't resist. She needed an item to exchange at another location so she can get a jacket for her husband. She doesn't think the Sports Authorities in her area have AP/LP... she has been hitting them HARD. If there was AP/LP she probably would have been caught by now.

My friend was really pist today, She went to a department store where they had expensive clothing and they always used to ask you how many clothes you had and gave you a number , 9 times out of 10 you could grab 6 items of clothing ,take them in to changing rooms and tell them you have 4 or 5 items.

Now they ditched that system and they hand count everything ,no number ,they stand outside waiting for you and then count the items again.

So my friend ended up having to pay $60 for the jeans she loved
Plus they where not tagged? which always worries my friend.

If there is no tag she is like "Is there some kind of hidden tag"
so not a good day.

Came back empty handed.

Tomorrow is another day. My friend needs to lift to sell, in order to recover lost money

How careful they count will sometimes depend on the employee. Also, the store may be tightening up security since a lot of lifting is done around the holidays. It may be more lax come January & on.

I went to Fred Meyers to try out my hook, and I was slighty irritated. They use pencil tags so I couldn't remove them. But, I saw a weird kind of tag on some jackets. It was square, yellow, and it looked like it could have an alarm on it. I also saw strings coming out of it- I didn't look at it too long, but it was either wire or stretchy bungee things on the coat. What type of tag was this?

Kohls return policy allowed no receipt returns but it doesnt state any limits.

How much can you return in store credit and how many returns do you get?

My friend wants to profit from this by selling the gift cards to plastic jungle but he doesn't know how much he can get.

I don't know too much about kohls but maybe I'll find some overpriced clothes at 80$ and up. I'll look at the online catalog and see what they sell and maybe scout the store.

Do you know about Macys or Tillys limits?

EDIT: theirs also a old navy

imo, it would depend more on how many shirts. Cause one shirt is like 100$ already. I'm not really one to ask how many shirts, because I am wondering this myself, but I think you could layer a couple of shirts under your shirt?

I would KILL for this purse. But sadly it's at Saks - that store is currently WAY out of my skills. Not to mention there is no Saks around where I live.

My friend doesnt have expeirence with plastic jungle yet. He has never lifted from clothing stores either.

my friend has gotten about $300 or more in store credit from walmart but he has used alot of it on the walmart website instead of selling it.

Get whatever you can and return it but don't return too much so you don't get flagged. My friend is extra careful since they dont sell fake california ids

Shady,

Rob hates when he goes to express and they get up his ass about grabbing and counting. Makes him angry because they think he's a thief. (haha little do they know). Nice haul for your friend that day!

Rob is waiting on his superloc to come in today and he is going to go hit up a few stores. Is a week typically a good cool down period? Rob asks because he wants to go back to express and its been only 5 days.

Rob says Have a happy new year and stay safe tonight everybody

Rob has $0 for the next week, and needs to get gas. So he's going to lift from walmart and do a return, and He can fill up at Murphy Usa aka Walmart's gas station?

Rob told me he was extremely upset that his superloc did not deliver when it stated on the tracker it would be. A city some hours away held it up, hope its nothing. Atleast Rob had his new years eve outfit and is looking fly with his lady. Popping champagne tonight! Have a good one everybody.

Not I, but my friend. And yes, cart running is a bit too risky for my friend. maybe one day she'll grow balls to do so.. but hoping nobody saw anything or LP isn't following you is too scary for her. Eventhough she is a person probably least profiled as a "shoplifter". She'll scout and see when the greeters are off shift and go for it.

Anthropologie carries high end denim like Jbrand, Joe's Jeans, AG, etc. Your friend should check it out when she gets more comfortable with lifting. My friend plans to hit another Anthro soon.

Any info on H&M? The only info I have is this:

H&M
Tag info: Uses black clam ink tags.
Dressing room info: There is a dressing room attendant that counts.

Do they have LP? My friend is planning on going to a city that has a H&M sometimes in next few weeks.

My friend went to another macys location but didn't lift anything because when he was in the dressing room he saw a man in all black standing near his door then he went inside a dressing room for a few seconds acting like a customer then he left. My friend wasn't to frightened by this but then he did it a second time and my friend decided he wasn't going to be lifting anything. The funny part is when he left the dressing room the man was no wear to be found better safe then sorry my friend said. He does Plan on returning to this location for the grey northface fleece jacket he saw in his size.

Easiest thing to do when your in the mall is to have another stores bag just make sure it looks clean and not wrinkled with a few items inside and you can put eveything in there.

The H&M by my friends is rumored to have LP. Somebody got caught there a few months back.

If there are any helpful info for H&M, my friend would appreciate it as well. She adores their clothes.

ShadyLady, there's not much Anthro stores by my friends, she has to travel over an hour to get to one..

Gap Body- 2 pairs of workout pants
Banana Republic- 2 pairs of jeans & 1 shirt. None of the items were tagged which made it even easier & quicker!

The cameras they have are actually very good and can pan, tilt, zoom but as my friend has learned, it would seem that the mid section and below of some of the aisles and racks can act as good blind spots and of course the dressing rooms are always unlocked and open.

Near the front doors, where the clothing section is there will be a door that says Kohl's Employees Only, Badge or something needed to enter.... this is the LP office.

I just made a video and put it on YouTube about how to use hooks. It's like Vini's guide but up close and HD video. I think it will help out the newbies and be interesting if you haven't seen the inside of a hard tag. Anyways... Watch it!

What I was trying to say is, even though kohl's may not have that many cameras they depend on the fact that the cameras they do have can move and zoom...
