So, long story short, I need a new one, and I figured, hey, why not steal one? Granted, it is locked into a rack, but after inspecting it, it would appear that it would be as easy as making a small incision in the hole where the hanger goes through, and pulling it free, but I have my doubts.
1. Would there be an additional security measure to prevent this from being stolen, other than the obvious locked merchandise rack/hanger? I.e. a RFID card or other sensor?
2. Are there hidden cameras in Staples or Office Depot? I have inspected the ceilings, and the only cameras I can see in there are by the register.
3. How hard is this going to be to conceal in the lip of one's shorts? Any one who has owned one prior knows it is fairly hefty, so will it slide out? Is there any way that it can be prevented.
4. Does Staples or Office Depot have loss prevention? I have never seen them, but perhaps they are watching hidden cameras, if there are any at all?

1. The displays are usually dummies...
2. No, unless the store has heavy theft and they suspect internal.
3. Use a baggy loose shirt, or something to conceal the bulge. but once again.. they are usually dummy displays. there are a small percentage that are real.
4. they only have regional directors for LP, who manage issues and make sure policy and prodecures are followed.
My friend recently got ahold of some TI nspire CX calculators, but you wouldnt have it in time. Plus he doesnt really know you.
