Fuckin nerds. See you at the library nerds! Oh wait I won't because I'll be too busy playing COD like a boss.

listen, this section has some good dialogue going on so leave it alone.
regardless, shitty troll attempts won't really get a reaction with the literate crowd, anyway, so 0/5 for you.

Re: Reading is for nerds.
Excellent thread, 'Ed Rush! I give it a full 10/10! I detest reading, as well. I'm quite proud to say that in my entire life I have not read more than 10 books from front-to-back, and nearly every one of those that I did read were well over 60 years old and chock-full to the brim with content that is considered reprehensible by most scholars. But I don't condone your video game playing. I just can't stand video games, either!

Re: Reading is for nerds.
I like reading, but I can't stand most fiction books. They're always typical trite cliche shit watered down for the average reader. Always fucking predictable. This is why I quit reading Harry Potter when I was in 6th grade; because I could already tell it was going to be a generic heroes vs villains story with no substance. And now as an adult, I realize that I was absolutely right!
What I do like to read is non-fiction, whether it's about science or historical events.
But I don't read many books anymore. Most of the shit I am interested in is all on the internet.

I'm always reading. I normally have 3 or 4 books going at the same time. Nice thread, though. I like your approach. Succinct and direct - with little room for argument. I like your style.

It's like I'm reading my own post, right down to the details on Harry Potter. There is one good genre of fiction that I adore though, and that's horror. Well, not adore, I've only read two horror books in the past couple of weeks, but they were fucking better than any other fictional book I'm read.

I consider playing COD to be one of the nerdiest things one could admit doing, even on the internet. Kudos for for doing that thing where you say one thing is negative and then say what you enjoy is blatantly worse.
Also, at least the library has girls that go there, not much chance of any girls going anywhere near a COD player's basement...

This for me too, but interestingly enough I don't mind fictional TV Shows and Film...Although I must admit, typically I like shows/films that are based on true stories, and documentaries.

Re: Reading is for nerds.
Computer games are a pretty nerdy pastime too. Or maybe that's 'geeky'. I don't know, but I think of nerdiness as having an intellectual component. Of course, reading doesn't take serious brains either. Hmm.

If most fiction is shit then there must be some that's worthwhile. Numerically, that's a shit-ton of books. If you like reading, maybe you should look for those books, no?

Re: Reading is for nerds.
I mostly read news/political sites now. I used to read a lot of SF/Fantasy. Larry Niven's "Ringworld", "Protector" and anything by LM Bujold. Their works I've read multiple times. Personally I think any book you read 11x is good, but that do not matter to you if you cannot even read it through once.

I dunno, everyone else was doing it. Why must you make me think about something I just did on a whim?
Perhaps I wanted to be involved in a pack dissection on why illiterates suck ass and conveniently there was a thread about the very subject in hot topics...
What are you going to ask now? Why I'm spending time saying why what you think is wrong?
