Heh, I actually like Reddit more than this place. The only reason why I come here is the smaller community, with a more personal touch. Reddit's massive userbase makes content control great, IMO. Upvotes and downvotes make it a pure democracy.

Ha, I remember I had a friend in middle school, friends with him since 3rd grade. Backstory: I was recognized for my overt intelligence in elementary and I recall in 3rd grade he passed me a letter with a few questions on it to test my intelligence. Isn't that storybook stuff?

Well, anyway, I was really interested in pokemon and wanted Gold or Silver and he would tell me all these stories about stuff in the game, which I found out were complete BS when I finally got it (I didn't feel comfortable asking my parents for stuff). Searching for them and thinking they were a possibility made the game a lot more fun, though.

It's Pokemon Emerald, but with the pokemon randomized. So when you're selecting your starter pokemon, you'll get to choose from three random Pokemon (lets say Tyranitar, Meowth and Wurmple). All laong the game, you'l encounter, like, level 7 mewtwos and whatnot. It's really fun if you just want to have a novel, pretty relaxed experience and even better for doing a Nuzlocke Challenge run.
