Itchy and Irritated Asshole

So as the title says, recently my asshole has been really itchy and irritated. Its getting to the point where its almost tortuously itchy. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Spare any gay jokes please, this question is serious. This is becoming a problem, but I cant afford to see a doctor right now. Is there anything OTC that I can use to help?

Also, do you have any idea what the cause might be? Hydrocortisone might treat the symptoms, but I dont think it will solve the long term problem. thx

70% rubbing alcohol. Trust me, I know this might sound like an attempt to convince someone to fap with Icy Hot, but in middle school I remember my asshole being itchy sometimes and this would bring great relief. The initial sting isn't that bad and only lasts a second or two, it actually kind of feels good in a way.

This could work too. I've never used witch hazel. Rubbing alcohol would mainly disinfect, so maybe you should use both.

In order to prevent this from happening in the future I highly recommend washing with soap and water after pooping. I just hop onto the sink and do it that way. You can also buy a cheap bidet add on, bidet seat, or full bidet. At the very least finish off with wet wipes.

This is what a doctor recommended to me for a similar problem many years ago, and it totally worked.

Its mostly my asshole, and to a lesser extent the surrounding area. I've noticed its seems to be mostly the fold of skin around my sphincter

From what I read, this doesnt sound like the problem. I dont have any symptoms besides the burning asshole. I could be wrong, but I'm gonna try other treatments before this.

I actually tried this a few times. The first time I did it, it didnt hurt that bad...but the second and third time, it felt like my asshole was being stabbed with a fist full of needles.

I will say, it did seem to help a little bit, but my asshole is bugging me

Thanks for the responses, any other ideas will be appreciated. I have also noticed that putting a little Carmex lip balm around my asshole helps temporarily. The balm has a nice tingly sensation, but I dont think adding moisture helps (I'm just treating the symptoms w/o addressing the problem).

Huh, I've been having this too.

I atributed it to the heat/sweat of summer.

What I do is take like 6 squares of tp, fold them and stuff them in my butt crack. Sounds like a troll, I know. But a quick squeeze of the butt and bam, no itch.

I figured that out a long time ago; although I prefer paper towels because they are more durable than TP.

It does help for a short time, but almost as a soon as I take the manpon out, my asshole starts itching again

My toilet paper holds pretty well. I usually just leave it in all day.

If I wash my asshole twice a day though, i have no problems

Just use some damn wet wipes after pooping. Try talcum powder, gold bond, or an anti-perspirant if you sweat excessively.

UPDATE: DO NOT swab your asshole with 90% rubbing alcohol, it is the most painful and terrible thing I have ever experienced.

Also, gold bond or talcum powder dont help, they make it worse. Stuff liek that traps moisture in your asshole...making it more irritated in the longterm

No troll. I use this on my son. Works very well to relieve diaper dermatitis. I've used it myself when having the same symptoms you're having, and I never had to apply it more than once or twice before the irritation subsided for good. It can be pricey, but it's worth it. I've also used it on the crack between my balls and legs when they got extremely chaffed or irritated from sweat and lots of movement.

It's an ointment like any other, and it really does work very well and very quickly.
