Just got a job and another employer(higher paying) wants to interview me

I just got a job doing warehouse work(driving a forklift and picking orders) that pays $10.00/hour. I was unemployed for the majority of three years before this job. This job is a long-term job that has benefits after three months. I've work here for two weeks and it's going good. I was interviewed by this company in February for a different position but never got it.

I got a call on Friday from an employer that I applied at a few weeks ago. They want me to go in for a math test. I've applied for this employer many times and once went in for an interview and math test(basic multiplication and division) but never got the job. The job is a union job(International Brotherhood of Teamsters, a union I was in when I worked at UPS). The job starts around $15.00/hour and goes way up before it maxes out. It's order picking on a forklift(same as I do now), but it's it a freezer environment. It has benefits as well.

I filled out this application before getting my current job, so I'm going to have to edit it, and add my new employer to the application.

When I talked to the lady on the phone, I had to push it a little to allow her to let me come in for the test after I got off work. At first she said 3:00 would be the latest, I told her I got off at 3:00 and got her to allow me to do it at 3:30, but she seemed a little pissed. It was weird though, because she said/asked, "You are working now, right?"...how would she know?

Anyways, how should I go about this with my current employer, and how should I go about it with this other employer?

Should I let my current employer know about going in for this math test?

What about when the other employer asks to call my current employer...then my current employer will find out...?

How should I go about it so that I'm not risking my current job(by pissing them off by looking for another job, which only happened because I applied at both places when I was unemployed) but still can look into the possibility of the higher paying job?

What are your opinions?

Just go in and take the test. If you pass, take the better paying job because it sounds like the $10/hr job has nothing over the $15/hr position. If you're concerned about whether it's rude or not to leave a job you've just accepted, don't be. People do that all the time; businesses act in self-interest and they generally operate under the assumption employees will do the same.

After the inview and right before I pulled into my apartment complex, I got a call and message from them that said I had got the job. I called them back and they want me to go in to do the paperwork tomorrow.

How should I tell my current employee?

Should I tell my supervisor or the manager?

Go to the supervisor. Tell them a position you applied for BEFORE this one called you back, and you'll be making $14, and you need to look out for yourself and your interests. They'll understand.

Quite simply this. Two weeks on the job and I wouldn't even put that on my resume. Just tell them you have a better offer, you can only stay if they match it. If not, you have bills to pay.

Make sure the second job is cinched up first though.

Ask your current boss if you can have a week off in two weeks time. The two weeks just buys you some notice/time. If they say yes, then accept the new job, on the basis you'll start after two weeks vacation you already had booked. Work the two weeks at your current job, then during the week off, go to work at the new job. Stay with the higher paying job and phone in claiming your ill to the old employer and you should receive sick pay, whilst also making more money at the new job.

Week 1 & 2: Current income
Week 3: New higher income and holiday pay from previous employer.
Week 4: and onwards: New higher income and sick pay from previous employer.

I want to work a lot and save. I'm just coming off of a three year period of mostly unemployment. I also have cash saved up, precious metals saved up, and my supplies(household, clothing, personal hygiene). The new job will be swing or graveyard, and that's good for me, because I want to go back to school.

I called them on Thursday and they said that they'll call me next week.

My supervisor was joking around about them backing out and then I go back to unemployed, but then he said that I could always come back because the manager really likes me.

What type of clothing should I get? So far I have bought some steeltoe boots that are one size to big(so that I can wear an extra pair of wool socks) and four pairs of wool socks.

The temps will be "-15F to +43F".

I like this job a lot. I just drive around on a double jack and move full pallets. Some doors are automatic with sensors, and some have stings on each side to pull to open/close. It's in and out of two giant freezers, and there's a RR pulloff in-between with boxcars we load.
