Imagine a world where a nation's boundaries, formed by old men hundreds of years ago, weren't a reason to act like dicks towards other nations, weren't a way to create an "us and them". Imagine a world where our objective was to lead a better life and help each other lead a better life. All divisive ideologies need to die; religiosity, nationalism, racism, whatever you can imagine. Competition is good, adversarial relationships are bad.

Of course, this would need to come from every end; you can't just expect one country and it's people to be selfless and open while the rest of the world tries to jew on them. Everyone just needs to stop identifying as "American" or "Pakistani" or "Brazilian". We need to understand that with classifications like that come attributes for classification which leads to vast generalizations.

It also brings a series of irrational commitments and hinders progress; so many Americans refuse to admit their country's wrongs; the country's politics are controlled by money and you're fighting a futile war in the middle east to protect the interests of a small group of rich people. You're draining billions on nothing at all and letting your government throttle your rights day by day while you fight GOOD things like social healthcare because you think THAT is what's infringing your freedom. This goes for every country on the planet. As a Pakistani myself, I can't help but notice when my friend lie about the conditions in Pakistan. In fact, they probably believe the shit they're spewing. I have to correct them, because the first step to a remedy is understanding there's an illness.

I have so much more to say, but I gotta get some ID things sorted out, so I'll just end off by saying that there should never be an irrational commitment to anything; no country, no ideology, no corporation. It's the "complainers" and "whiners" that get anything done. Let me give you a small example that I like to use; everyone know what the biggest hardware issue with the PSP was? One analogue only. The fanboys tried to rationalize that shitty decision with excuses like "it's a handheld, it only needs one" and "aiming with buttons isn't so bad". Guess what? If the people who actually have a brain listened to the "fans", the PSV wouldn't have two analogues. Who won out? Who are we all THANKFUL to for their "complaining"? Definitely not the irrationally committed.
