Re: Construction of a furry
I worked several days on a model and I was liking how it was coming out but I messed up and deleted it accidentally x.x
I hate when that happens.

Re: Construction of a furry
I made another blueprint based on sylus's style but meh I just don't like how it looks at all.
I keep gravitating to this non anthro character. I just don't like how the anatomy of anthropomorphs just don't exist and don't make any sense in reality.

That model is a bit too slim for you, isn't it, proots?
Anyways, you're sick. Not sick as in "offensive" - but sick as in gross. You're simply gross. It's a real shame.

Well its supposed to be a fox but its coming out looking like an African wild dog. I made it slim like that to compensate for the fur rendering I'm putting on later when I figure out how to do that.
i dont give a fuck

So, it will appear a little bulkier once your faggot ass gets around to adding a few layers of fur?

should look something like this
I like big ears and paws because it adds character, much like how Disney exaggerates eyes to evoke more emotion.

Re: Construction of a furry
ugh bone rigging in 3ds max is so frustratingly stupid
it makes me want to export this whole damn thing to blender because that program has a superior rigging mechanic
but im afraid importing everything back into 3ds max from blender will fuck everything up

Re: Construction of a furry
Maya seems so much more streamlined and user friendly than 3ds. It's like the difference between linux and windows. I don't know why Autodesk even bothers updating 3ds at all.

Re: Construction of a furry
Blegh I don't like the construction mechanic of Maya. It's too fluid. I like the superior precise capabilities of 3ds Max. I guess I'm going to be importing and exporting between these two programs to utilize all of their tools.
Fortunately they are both made by the same company so there wont be any file corruption between the two.
In collage I used to do a lot of importing and exporting with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator depending on what kind of 2d art I needed.

i would most likely pay a specialist like $3000 to make a quality suit
there are many professionals who make a living off fursuits in the furry community

nice, do you have one yet or know anyone that does?
I ask because i thought sonic the hedgehog would be cool, but I wasn't sure if that was acceptable or not. like would a fox chick even be interested in sonic?

idk i havent seen a sonic suit ever in fur conventions so youd most likely get action out of uniqueness alone

Re: Construction of a furry

not 3d. It needs to be a 2d blueprint like the ones I was posting in this thread. I can make you one for free because I'm a poor motherfucker who doesn't care about money.
Be warned when making your own suit: you will be embarrassed and overshadowed by others who look 100000x better than you on the dance floor.

No. The "furries" always hold a convention day in Pittsburgh, though. One day outta the year, you step outside and see people dressed up as animals literally everywhere.
It's actually a real hoot. They make a big deal of it over here.

Putting on a fur suit changes your personality to whatever your persona you created on the internet is.
So it's like walking around in real life but you're hidden behind the mask of your internet identity.

After several months of bashing my head against the keyboard learning how to model in 3d I finally managed to whip up something I want to paint.

here's some sketchy lineart. Lets see how the color and shading turns out. I might do the line art as a cleaner vector but I don't really like how plastiky it gets.
