Default Complaining about shit: Don't we "get what we want" anyway?

Isn't the whole reason why you're sitting on your PC reading this rather than working up a multinational conglomerate and raking in billions that you'd rather be doing this than working? I mean, everyone would LIKE to have money, but the reason they DON'T is because they prefer whatever they do on the time they aren't making money. You failed that exam because you would like to have passed it, but you liked playing Minecraft more. You're fat because you'd LIKE to be thin, but you prefer eating that last doughnut or drinking that last Triple Chocolate 4 Scoop Vanilla Sundae Milkshake with powdered peanuts and you prefer to sit around playing Starcraft rather than go out and jog. If that's the case, how can anyone complain about, well, ANYTHING, how can you be unhappy and how can you make fun of anybody else for anything? They're or you are doing everything you want to do.

Unless something is physically impossible it's only your own morality and will that's stopping you from doing anything. In fact, you could just murder all the alternative job applicants and get that job you're looking for, but you'd rather not kill, so it's your own fault, unless you're complaining about things that can't be changed anyway, like the laws of physics. If you're that pissed that pissed at Microsoft for supporting ARM architectures with Win8, you're pissed, but you want to sit on your ass and not do anything about it more than you want shit to change. So why complain about it? Things are the way you want them to be. If they weren't, you'd be changing them.

Am I wrong?

The "you" here is in the same as the "they" we refer to so often. "Oh, you're Lance Armstrong! They're saying you never really had cancer".

Actually, the way the universe is set up, we tend to push away what we want, and attract what we fear.

Please keep your hipppie shit out of here. Post something sensible or not at all. Logically, whatever situation we are in, we want. You don't "psu haway the things you want", you just choose other things you want more. You WANT to be thin, but you WANT to eat that bag of Oreos more.

Largely this is true, but what about people who try at things and fail. IE. You want to be rich - you open a business - you end up bankrupt. Yes you can only blame yourself, but not everyone is destined for sucess. In the end you can always blame your problems on something else, or you can try your best at whatever it is you like doing.

Only women complain about being fat. Fat men know that it's their own fault so they generally keep the self loathing to themselves.

You don't want it enough, then. So let's say you fail at a business prospect. Okay, you're not getting rich that route. What about crime? Can you cook meth? Do you want money enough to not follow your morality? Clearly you don't want it enough. Ultimately, unless something is physically impossible, you just don't want it enough. So if you want a job and you've gotten the grades, you have the experience, you didn't kill the alternative candidates. Well, it's you who let your morals get in the way of that job. You're where you want to be, unless it's physically impossible, in which case, what's the point of bitching?

So basically what you're saying Cap'n is that I should use my free time more efficiently to get paid like a bawse.

Thank you for the motivation. I think I'm going to rob a bank and steal all the monies of those who spent there free time more efficiently than I. After all, it's easy to destroy than to build.

I'll let you know how the rampage goes via Twitter.

OP is 100% right, but since zoklet consists entirely of lazy, angry, and resentful losers, everyone is going to try to put down his argument with emotionally impulsive bullshit, rather than explain why he's wrong.

I guess we just have difficulty putting off the pay-off for our work. That's why we're happier jerking off than getting girlfriends, collecting welfare than getting money through hard work and patience.

And lots of people have a self destructive streak. I personally find it hard to do stuff I know will personally benefit myself. I dunno why. Low self esteem or some shit.

Yeah I agree actually. Though their are a lot of factors involved like opportunity and luck/skill if you're breaking the law. I don't like breaking the law not because of morals, but because I don't want to get in legal trouble.

Generally its true that if I want something enough, I'll get it. I just focus my resources on stupid shit, like masturbating and smoking weed.

No. Opportunity is what you take advantage of, it's not something by itself. Rich people saw opportunity where nobody else did and seized it. EVERYTHING is an "opportunity", the difference is how you capitalize on it.

More likely your parents were already well off and afforded you plenty of opportunity. You're one of those spoiled twats. "Poor people don't try hard enough, it's there own fault."

No, I was born to parents who fleed from Iran to Kyrgyzstan (where I was born) and then (when Kyrgyzstan went full retard) to Pakistan. No matter what the shit you've been through, you kicked off better than I did. If you're in the US, the minimum wage there (let's say that after taxes you have about 6 bucks an hour) would be like a dream to a Pakistani man.560 rupees per hour? The average labourer makes that after 3 days of work. More likely you're one of those "woe is me" dumb shits from the US who think they're in the worst possible situation. You're not. Stop crying and go do something, faggot.

1. I don't believe you

2. You're proving my point, retard. People in first world countries become rich because they have more opportunities.

3. I'm in a great situation. I have lots of money and a home and all the luxuries simply because of the opportunities afforded to myself by being born in Canuckistan instead of Iran. I had nothing to do with that. It's luck.

1. Suck my cock

2. Missing the point of the topic, because you're a fucking idiot; you're still exactly where you want to be, no matter where you're born i.e. if there's a guy born in Iran and he's still in Iran, he's there because he wants to be there; you're bringing in money, which isn't the issue being discussed in the slightest, it's being where you want to be.

3. See above. You're tying financial position to "what you want", which isn't nevessarily the case, as I argued in the opening post.

tl;dr, learn to read and don't be a retard.

The US has a way higher standard of living (which is what your COL is calculated according to) than Pakistan. The people you call "poor" are, like, middle class here. And I live in the US, I know how to compare the two. You Americans bitch and moan so hard, but you don't understand how good you have it. In Pakistan, people have to face 8 straight hours of electrical loadshedding twice a day in the dead heat of summer.

Well then, how many people from pakistan would rather live in the USA? The USA sure is more comfortable, no doubt, but shit is almost more retarded here. Buncha fat motherfuckers wandering the malls constantly in search of products that will make them happy and disgusting food to fatten them up. And even though the sterile "comfort" drives people nuts, yeah I still love being here and I'm glad I don't live in pakistan. America has escaped the physical needs of survival and has evolved to mental survival, which has proved to be a great way to exploit idiots.

Alright as far as the OP, you're right to an extent, and someone really does need to tell those faggots to go do something, but pretending that's the full story with everyone is a bunch of shit.

The thing I see people complaining about shit in general is they tend to adjust to their environment, in that when the bad things aren't so bad, they find little things to get angry at as some sort of release (i just did this in the first paragraph!). Conversely, people in bad situations find little things to be happy about so they don't have to feel like shit 24/7.

Obviously "bad" situations suck to be in, but it seems also that our "good" situations aren't producing happy fulfilled people. I imagine this is because although firstworld nations don't have mass deaths from disease or war, the populations are sick from their sterile, mass produced environments and most of them don't know what to do. It's like if you trapped someone in a shopping mall: even though it seems vaguely positive and nice with clean water at the drinking fountains, shiny products on the shelves, and delicious greasy garbage to shovel down your throat at the fast food joint, our subject will soon grow restless and full of anxiety. This precipitates down into lots of negative things like obesity, smoking, hating everyone, skewed perception of time, depression, etc. annnnnnd most people are stuck because they let themselves get tricked into the same patterns again and again by questionable social norms.

So, more than lazy bitches who would rather spend time complaining than improving their situation, I see retarded chimps trapped in this polarized society that convinces people of absurd shit. They think it will make them happy; of course it doesn't. Then they become confused and stressed. It takes a certain perspective to see things for what they are and navigate pitfalls, and many people have been so 'brainwashed' they fuck everything up.

the answer is no, you do what you want to do within your own fears. if you were fearless you would do different things

Am I wrong?
Of course you're wrong, and you fucking complain non-stop. You are one whiny cunt.

You don't know shit about logic dude, you've never studied logic and you certain don't know it's implications here. You act as if people's behavior is devoid of other motivating factors besides shit we "want", fuckign clueless spoiled poor bitch.

You can't compartmentalize every person on the planet, stop trying, I know your brain is feeble but try to see everyone as individuals.

So if you want a job and you've gotten the grades, you have the experience, you didn't kill the alternative candidates. Well, it's you who let your morals get in the way of that job. You're where you want to be, unless it's physically impossible, in which case, what's the point of bitching?
Haha, what a load of shit. Have you ever had a job virgin or what?

I guess we just have difficulty putting off the pay-off for our work. That's why we're happier jerking off than getting girlfriends, collecting welfare than getting money through hard work and patience.

And lots of people have a self destructive streak. I personally find it hard to do stuff I know will personally benefit myself. I dunno why. Low self esteem or some shit.
You're a moron for agreeing with the OP, haha. Yeah everyone on welfare wants to be on welfare, what idiots.

This is so stupid, woman in a dress, that is pussy waiting to be capitalized on I should just rape her if I really wanted it that bad...lol, buffoon.

He means you don't know what real life is, and you've probably never had an actual job.

The average labourer makes that after 3 days of work. More likely you're one of those "woe is me" dumb shits from the US who think they're in the worst possible situation. You're not. Stop crying and go do something, faggot.
Hahaha, so you're a terrorist? Makes SO MUCH SENSE NOW!!! Someone from TSA touch you?

Terrorist rage is taking him over...

In Pakistan, people have to face 8 straight hours of electrical loadshedding twice a day in the dead heat of summer.
Yes, but Pakistan is spiritually rich, is that factored into your COL? Moron.

Exactly and animals wouldn't live very long without fear, captain doesn't understand this though because he is a moron from a terrorist organization.
