Where is the book? On the Nightstand next to my bed.. It's called "Zen and the Art of Making a Living".. Yea, it's not exactly a literary piece, but its a change up from fiction I usually dwell in.
Re: where is the "book you are currently reading" thread?
Infinite Jest
I just flipped to the last page of footnotes so I'm almost done! Easily one of the if not the best book(s) I've ever read.

Naked Lunch is a bunch of salad.
This book has some of the most interesting sentences I've ever read, I don't care if any loose ends are left open. It was entertaining all the way through.

i am only 25 pages into enders shadow man this book is bad ass already. If you're a fan of Enders game and haven't read this one (its about bean that kid Ender trains at battle school) i suggest getting it. Its not a sequal to the ender saga just story about little Bean.
Re: where is the "book you are currently reading" thread?
this thread looks more fun.
Just finished the Steve Jobs biography.
was reading Kurt Vonnegut's "While Mortals Sleep", a posthumously released collection of short stories, but left it at the beach with only a few to go.
Looking for my next book

how was the jobs book? is it truthful about his being a major cunt or is it just talk mostly about his genius
Re: where is the "book you are currently reading" thread?
I enjoyed it a lot. The book certainly covers his being a cunt and does a great job of explaining his relationships with other characters. I didn't understand every bit of technical discussion, especially in the first 3rd or so, but the last 3rd or so was great. It covered his work at Pixar and return to Apple, explaining the development of macbooks, ipods, iphones, ipads, etc. I think that end of it was perhaps more reliable/less prone to revisionist's history. I feel that I now have a very good understanding of who Steve Jobs was, what he accomplished, the steps he took to achieve them, the many mistakes he made along the way, more about the tech industries, and a few other things. I recommend it if you have the time.
Re: where is the "book you are currently reading" thread?
I just got done reading John Grisham's Skipping Christmas. An obscure one of his novels.
Too short and not that interesting as a story over-all but for some reason it caught my attention at the beginning and I never put it down. Would not recommend.

I went the other route and followed Ender and am currently reading Xenocide.
I think that both are significantly better than Ender's Game. I loved Ender's Game, but the sequels are much more complex.

Infinite Jest is my favorite book of all time
Right now I'm reading "Haroun and the Sea of Stories" or however it's spelled, by Salmon Rushdie. It's alright. I'm pretty much just trying to blast through it so I can start A Clash of Kings, aw yeah.

lol. yeah that was weird.
then that crippled dude fell in love with valentine like come on man thats practically ender aka practically your dad u sick fuck.
i started on the next book about bean "Shadow of the Hegemon". Talks a lot about Peter and Petra and Bean and their Earthly affairs, power struggles and how shit goes down on Earth while Ender be up in Space. Kinda wish I'd read these before I got deeper into the Ender Saga. All this background info on peter and would have been neat to know reading through the Ender Stories.

I'm re-reading the wheel of time, also doing some reading in a flight training manual, also reading up on my gun smiting course, a few magazines besides that... Just some light reading.
