Looks like a form of bump firing, I've done it with my AK before just for kicks. There's really no reason to do it other than to look cool and make a lot of noise, its a waste of ammo and incredibly inaccurate because you have to shoot from the hip.

It's possible to bump fire at shoulder level with an AK. Still not accurate, but maybe a little more than at the hip.

^ Yeah, but it's much harder to bump fire consistently with it shouldered. When you bump from the hip the recoil of each round helps the triggering of the next round a lot more.

Bump firing would probably be plenty accurate if done in bursts like you are supposed to do actual full auto firing. Holding the trigger down on a rifle on full auto isn't accurate either. It would be fairly easy to empty a magazine and not hit your target. Pretty sure the only time you're supposed to do that is covering fire maybe.

@OP take a pistol, a piece of a broomstick, put the broomstick in trigger guard and push the pistol forward with other hand and try to shoot like that.

For those not "in the know":
Bump-firing is when you pull the gun forward while firing and hold your trigger finger still such that the recoil propels the gun backwards, away from your finger and resetting the trigger, and then your muscles pull the gun forwards pulling the trigger again. You're basically letting the gun "bounce" very rapidly against your trigger finger. Makes for very fast shooting of a semi-automatic firearm. Converts a lot of money (ammo) into noise (not hitting anything).

It's also a great way for the Brady Campaign to see you shooting your AR and say "A-HA! It's been a death-sprayer this whole time! Ban them all!"

The only gun I own that I'll bump fire is my AKMS its just too easy with the 7.62 and underfolder stock.

Edit: Also in addition to what reggie said above me, it can also cause a malfunction in some weapons due to a term called limp wristing.

I think you can get your finger to pull off shots quick enough, but the way hes holding it suggests it is a form of bumpfiring.

I think you can buy some special AK and AR stocks which help facilitate this.

Where'd you find out it was fake? I googled that shit too, didn't find anything to indicate Slide Fire stocks don't function as advertised. Admittedly my google-fu is weak.

AR's are a lot harder to convert to the real thing I think. You need a drop in sear that I think is heavily regulated. With an Ak all you need is a drill, dremel or file, and a few cheap parts.

^ Per ATF standards most semi-auto receivers of AK and AR rifles have full-auto conversion countermeasures milled right into them.

The AR needs an M16 bolt carrier on top of the trigger group parts. Not sure what specifically the AK needs, but you can bet those parts are regulated too.

Buy an SKS then look up the auto sears for them... They're hella easy to make and basically consist of a little piece of metal.

Pop the pins in the action, install the auto sear, and then go through a few hundred rounds of ammo in a few seconds.

ARs are easier.

You can get an autosear pin drilling jig online for $30. After that is done all you need is the M16 parts ($100), and possibly a dremel or file to widen the rear of the lower if it's not wide enough.

AKs you have to put a selector stop notch in the receiver, cut out a section of the bolt carrier guide rails, and possibly grind/file part of the bolt carrier itself. In addition to the AKM trigger parts and drilling the sear pin hole, of course.

Also you can buy AR15 drop in autosears (as well as GLOCK drop in autosears) over the Internet from manufacturers in other countries.
