Our climate is actually pretty good, it's never too hot or too cold. Always just right.

I'd say it's always just colder or just hotter than would be comfortable. Always slightly shit.
If you ask me, -2 and snow in Winter feels much better than +2 and windy rain.

Re: What is the best single meal in the world?
i'd agree about the heat. i enjoyed today for 45 minutes and then spent the rest of it cursing the sun, like "please just go behind the clouds so i can cool the fuck down. i am not made for this weather, because if i was, i'd have been spanish. why are my feet burning on the concrete? this is bloody england."
TL;DR: i prefer the colder british climate. apart from janaury when you're freezing your tits off.
edit: young british girls dress slaggy as fuck when it's hot, though. i saw so many 16 year old arse cheeks today, it was unreal!

The only bad thing about this is as I've got older, I find it hard to judge girls ages.
Between 13 and 18 they all look similar.
I was working today in the heat, I had my work t shirt on over my regular one, took my regular one off after 2 hours, end of my shift it was still damp with sweat.

hehe, i know what you mean, and i get what you mean about it being important now, whereas once it wasn't.
i'm 22 but i'm 5'6 and look 19 so sometimes i get a bit of attention off them. there they are in their shorts where i can see the best part of their perfect arse...they could be 15, they could be 19...what do you do? look but not touch? look at all? those mini-shorts they walk around in are great but i don't think any girl who wears those is girlfriend material, really. 18 or 28.
imagine bringing them home to your mum wearing those for fuck's sake. what are they thinking?

Re: What is the best single meal in the world?
Well Vizer and p6867 came up with some very creative meals early on. There seems to be so much variety within the Mexican options. But then with the Mexican dishes, they've been doing it for generations and put a lot of effort into them so it's a lot harder for a Canadian fuck who will end up staring at a frying pan for an hour.
British food is notorious for being what it is. The difference between it is known to be lack of sauces (not from a plastic bottle) and lack of spice.
Doner can be beaten hands down by a Shawarma (a Lebanese import).
Asian food is what it is, and it's big in American ... but ...

Ya I lived near the Quebec border half my life so give me a pountine anyday. That box looks like the gourmet poutine store near Shorebourn and Queen in downtown TO. ( www.blogto.com??)
I thing it boils down to creativity for the average American when they pick items at a supermarket, or dig around smaller shops. Thanks all for your input. We'll see what we end up eating, and deciding on.

I've never been to England, but I've been living in Washington state since November and I've heard that the climates are similar. Weather here generally sucks. So much rain.

I'm in Seattle and I love the weather. It's usually temperate. I don't mind the rain. I moved from somewhere it's always either too hot or too cold so perhaps I just became jaded by extremes.

I'd consider living in a climate similar to Seattle. It reminds me of my hometown where it's not too hot in summer, and winters are cold, but not extremely cold, with the rest of the year being cool.
I've got some nice jackets I seldom get to use

no one has brought up pizza
I don't understand why, like... Pizza is the perfect food as far as tastes goes, and it always can be varied due to all the different types of cheese, toppings, sauses, and bread that can be used to make it. It's fucking delicious.

Bacon is both delicious and a trochee, and for some fucking reason, the current age range of 10-30, the internet generation, is fucking obsessed with trochee nouns.

Re: What is the best single meal in the world?
What is a trochee?
I'm not much of a chef, well I am but it takes effort and I'm lazy.
I can make pizza including dough from scratch!
My current favourite is:
Really nice sourdough bread, lightly toasted, so light it just starts browning.
Put butter on it. Real butter not marge.
Put sardines on it.
Sprinkle MSG on it. Sprinkle really hot chilli powder on it. You might call it red pepper or capsicain or some shit.
Put Jarlsberg cheese on it.
Put that in the convection oven on max until the cheese is melted.
Sometimes I put the tin of sardines in boiling water for a few minutes to get some warmth through them also.
I loves it.

I think you mean cayenne pepper powder. It's hot as fuck. Capsaicin is just shit used in labs and clinical trials. It has no flavour and is too piquant for consumption in any amount.

I had poutine in toronto, pretty fucking good.
I'm mostly a fan of pretty simple food as my stomach can't handle most spicy foods, fucking acid reflux.

i love pizza, and i love bacon on pizza.
^^ my favourite pizza, though, is chorizo/green chilli (cut really fine)/green olives/buffalo mozzarella. it's been far too long since i ate it, too.
unusual things that are great on pizza:
artichoke hearts
asparagus
an egg, just cracked onto the cheese and allowed to cook...great with bacon!
doner meat (it's a dirty thing, but it's amazing when you're hammered)
piri piri or tandoori chicken

My favorite fucking pizza is that kind with sweet sundried tomatos, herbs (thyme, basil, oregano, etc.), and Grade A ultra premium extra virgin olive oil. Artichokes are cool too. Thin crust is essential, and must have a variety of good cheeses.

Re: What is the best single meal in the world?
I remember making big mac sauce for my homemade burgers as an experiment, except I used sweet pepper relish instead of sweet pickle relish - which i find a little off-putting. It tasted even better than the shit at mcdonalds because I actually used quality ingredients and it was fresh.

Never mind
DAMN THOUGH, NIGGA! 1.8k calories per serving? you could only really eat it as a treat!
Edit: Sounds pretty fucking delicious by the way, not many fast food places would use a nice, real cheese like gouda.

It has been well over a hundred for the past 4 months here. I can't wait for winter again.
Also to stay on topic I want to try poutine.

Recently at work I have been eating pickled jalapenos, I bite the tops off and fill it with cayenne pepper and hot sauce then eat them. Nothing is hot anymore.
I used an entire bag of dried ghost chillis and a dozen fresh habaneros in some chili the other day and didn't even make my nose run. Ate it with my mexican buddy and he said it was too hot.
