Looking For New Ambient Music Suggestions
Huge Boards of Canada fan here. Also enjoy Aphex Twin and some Ulrich Snauss. Any suggestions appreciated!

Re: Looking For New Ambient Music Suggestions
Tycho is great for BoC fans. If you're interested in Aphex Twin, there is a group called The Tuss who has come out with stuff that is so similar that people suspect it is actually a Richard D. James pseudonym.

Re: Looking For New Ambient Music Suggestions
Awesome suggestions guys, thanks a ton! Good to have some new stuff to listen to.
I had forgotten about Tycho- I had heard a song from them a while back and really liked it.

Bluetech and Solarfields, samples included.. .
Also, dubtribe sound system, and woob is my absolute favorite.
Sync24 is good too, I guess.
Edit: . . . Carbon Based Lifeforms . . . =0

Re: Looking For New Ambient Music Suggestions
Burial is fantastic - people also thought Burial was a Richard D James pseudonym. Super spacey, atmospheric, and bass-heavy
Aphex Twin's selected ambient works is like the best ambient album ever, imo
Deaf Centre is great as well
Listen to "Lake Erie" by The Microphones. interesting sound collage type stuff

Re: Looking For New Ambient Music Suggestions
Hildenbutel, Trentemøller, Twilight Circus Sound System. Those are some recent additions I just made to my library.
I second Tycho.
M83's earlier work is also really good, some of it's rather ambient, though a lot of it is post-rock/shoegaze.
