Have you ever tried to clean your stomach with alcohol?



During a smoking session I was listening to somebody's delusional reasoning about alcohol, and the idea was that after you had a lot of alcohol your stomach becomes cleaner, because alcohol kills everything alive in your stomach that doesn't belong there.

I believe that after a bottle of let's say Gin or Vodka you'll have your stomach cleaned up.

Have you ever felt that your digestive system is working better after heavy doses of alcohol?

lol. this reminds me of once when i was 18 i had to go do community service at this concert that was at a church, because of a drunk in public i had got. i found some bum that i was gonna ask to buy me a couple 40's so i could chug one beforehand, and one a couple hours later.

anyways so this dude is hella drunk and wont stop talking so that i can ask him and im trying to be polite so that he'll buy me alcohol. he was ranting about how he had a cold so thats why he was drinking because when you drink, the alcohol gets into your system and kills all the germs.

Your stomach is already full of strong acid. Anything alcohol would kill wouldn't be able to live in there.

Although, alcohol has laxative effects, making me think that maybe it kills cells indiscriminately in your large intestine or something?

Considering it's proven to be a bad idea to clean a wound with alcohol, it's probably not good to try to use it to clean out an internal organ, let alone one with an important mix of cultures in it.

Anti-biotics will kill all the bacteria in your stomache. Not that its a good thing, you'd have to eat mad yogurt to replace that bacteria (which helps digest food) or you'll get constipated.

But as for alcohol no its bad for your stomache and nothing else.

If the only point of consuming a lot of alcohol is to kill all *living* things in the stomach, the reasoner should take a moment to consider that the person whose body the organ belongs to is also a living thing. Alcohol doesn't normally distinguish between living that doesn't belong in the human body and living that does.

Which is where issues like liver failure and cirrhosis come in.
