Chances are the water was de-mineralized (see 'purified') then had minerals re-added in the proper amounts, some of which included low levels of fluoride. I'd need to see the label to tell exactly. Btw, at no point did Rust say there has to be NO fluoride; its a mineral with a lot of uses.

Ate, that's also been dealt with in other threads. Fluoride is IN groundwater. There's just an optimal level of it (1.5 mg/L, IIRC) that some places are below. For example, a lot of Canadian municipalities like mine don't add fluoride to our water because, fucked up as it is, we already have levels close to optimal.
