And unfortunately, it's true. Investing isn't incredibly difficult. It's not the best major out there. Even if you just want to work in business, business degrees don't stand out. Science or engineering is currently the way to go.

What indicators do you use? What instrument mostly? Are you Jewish?

Didn't see you guys there...waited like an idiot. I trade the Nasdaq 100 index. I don't rely on indicators I use a combination of mathematical equations to interpret the data for me. One of which that I use is the Fourier method that allows me to model any function with any combination of sine and cosine functions. Analyzing real time data is much different than looking at it on a halted data set. There are different levels of real time data ranging from hard, firm and soft (sounds dirty, I know ). I'm starting to study algorithmic modeling to manage risk real time for a portfolio using a combination of mean variance and soft real time data analysis. The goal at the end of the project is to use a combination of derivatives strategies to manage risk (insuring longer term bets) that they will stay in a more manageable volatility range.
