Yeah, it's a hit or miss with ON clothes. I have some pieces from there that have really held up, others haven't. My friend likes their workout shorts. I've noticed clothes in general are becoming of poorer quality. Like t-shirts, for example are so thin now. The stores are charging the same or even more for less fabric.

My friend prefers Banana Republic and J.Crew himself. He's more of a conservative when it comes to dressing, he doesn't even wear shorts.

Lol why won't he wear shorts? It's so hot out! My friend likes BR, she always checks out that store when she hits the mall. She also really likes Ann Taylor and Gap.

Lately in lieu of shorts I have been wearing skirts with a tee half tucked. It's my new look I'm obsessed with. It's polished without looking like I tried too hard.

My friend is going to hit the mall tomorrow. She hopes stores put out new clothes. She was there 2 weeks ago and didn't find much she liked.

I forgot to mention, an Express' in one of the malls around here remodeled the store, it now looks like a boutique and thy are now using pencil tags instead of SuperTag 3.

my friend chloe went to gap this weekend and managed to get a $400 leather jacket she was very excited, they had the spider wraps, but they had a small one only around the coat hanger hook so she just cut the leather hook on the jacket and threw it away. she also managed to get away with lots at sephora.

do a lot of people on here have luck lifting from macys? my friend is worried because she knows a lot of people who have been caught there. not really sure how their dressing room stuff works or whats going on? so any advice would be awesome!

Does anyone have any info on/experience with Madewell? It's a sister store of J.Crew, so I would assume they're more or less the same when it comes to security/anti-theft, but any other insight would be great. Thanks!

^ There's a store in NYC, IIRC it was Century 21, that doesn't even have curtains in the dressing room, you change out in the open. H&M here has the curtains instead of doors, so does some Forever 21's.

My friend Rob usually walks in the MAC store and grab a few things and palms them and slips them into his bag or pretends he is grabbing his wallet and slips them in his back pocket. Also Rob doesnt think they suspect him since hes a bro

How does your friend feel about department stores? Here, most department stores do not have many people on the sales floor. Most are stationed at checkouts and cosmetics areas. Depending on the store, you can find very nice clothing.

My friend does the majority of her lifting in department stores. The problem is, my friend is in Australia, and the 2 main department stores here have "concession stores" inside. So let's say she goes to Myer to obtain some Cue clothing, there'll be an employee who works for Cue floating about, offering her help, checking on her in the fitting rooms. Usually she can avoid them but just recently she's even encountered some concession staff in department stores who have offered to start her a fitting room.

Most of the time, she'll try to go in when there are many staff about (first thing in the morning, lunch time or just before closing) but her schedule's gotten very busy lately so if she wants to continue to lift clothing, she'll have to start doing it at times she's not as comfortable with and put up with pushy SAs.

My friend went to BB&B today and stuffed her large purse with many goodies. She also lifted some clothes and makeup which I will post about in the clothing lifting thread.

This really depends on the location. Some stores will grab clothing out of your hand and count them while others will ask.

Those men at the doors are TPS. They can't apprehend anyone but can act as backup during a apprehension. There also allowed to ask for a receipt when they see someone pushing a cart with a tv or other high value item to the door, but there not allowed to look through the store bags.

Oh, and the Employees or Team Members are required to ask "Can I help you find something" when out on the floor. Corporate likes to send District Mangers and other people to test rather or not there actually asking that.

My friend went out for the day and she web in to a shop in a museum and was looking at the nice jackets but saw the price £125
She saw they had no blind spots and had lp so she thought nah it's not worth lifting. Then she went to the till and paid for her gifts, next lp was chasing a guy who picked up a jacket ,tried it on ,then walked off and lp recovered the jacket and the cops came, what an amature!.

Chloe was at Ulta today and there were 3 cop cars outside, it was an Ulta she had never been to also, she still went inside. She grabbed one item and left, when she was walking out a cop walked in with papers. She's guessing they caught a shoplifter?

She also went to a larger mall and did pretty good, she went with her friend who is new to lifting and her friend got way more stuff than her! Tuesday's are a really great day to lift in the afternoon, just a FYI

Heard about this guy who hits all the popular clothes stores; A&F, Hollister, Express, AE, Gap, Banana Republic, Armani X, Guess, and Buckle (last 3 are the most difficult). He was taking them to a local 2nd hand clothing store but was tired of getting $8 on a $90 pair of jeans. He tried to get store credit by returning some items, but only A&F, Hollister, and AE will let you do that, and not very often. He often wondered if there was a better way to get cash for all these clothes...?

Also, Superloc 2 and 3 will come off with rubber bands. But sometimes they get stuck. Better to try it with clothes with a sturdier base like jeans than a flimsy shirt.

Can a hook be made out of a wire hanger or bra underwire?

Makes sense. Except what if the SA remembers the clothes you went in with since he/she laid them out? Better to go when it's busy or try to scout out a lazy SA.

Yeah, I've heard of people selling to buyers in the past, but the problem is they don't spend a whole lot, and they can be very picky. Heard of people taking stuff to the 2nd hand clothing store before, but they make like $50 on probably around $600 worth of merchandise and that seems frustrating. I've also heard of returning clothes without a receipt to AE, Hollister, and A&F and then selling the gift cards online, but that can't be done often....hmmm, might just be stuck.

Heard of using pliers at Gap BR and certain AEs, just heard you can't put the tag on other clothes since it breaks. Careful not to tear the clothing either.

Pliers work for literally everything, minus ink. Seems kind of logical. Inserting them between the "opening" where the pin would be visible and lifting up will forcibly remove the pin and small side from the large side. It may bend the pin, but you can definitely use this to reattach to other clothes, unless you're beating the thing to death until it breaks. Will make a noise, but sounds like a hanger. Most effective in noisy stores, though. I doubt it'll tear clothes unless it's fragile and you're clumsy with your force.

And sorry if I'm giving out information that has been mentioned "16816974891654 times". I try to be helpful to the best of my knowledge and have yet to see anything on recycling shopping bags and the multipurposes of this.

Heard you try to go out to your car every 2 stores or so. One, so your bag doesn't become overfull and two, so if a SA sees you in the mall and asks you about something (heard it's happened once or twice) you can show them and make them look like an ass.
