Well im not really in the know with anything because i just bought a decent pc, but i had totally forgot abot CS. Used to play the original on my friends, and i remembered that it was fun but the graphics were shitty. Ddnt realize what CS:S was. Strange though, that source is twnty bucks, and global is 15 or less? I dunno...i just havent heard anyone really excited for global...except console guys.

the new CS is basically going to be CSS, +new weps and also on the new Source Engine (prettier). Lot of map tweaks and whatnot too. If you never got into CSS I'd go for CSGO if i were u

its fucking dope on PC. 32v32 instead of 12v12. You'll see the occasional hacker but admins will kick them quickly or you could just move on to one of any of the 100s of other servers.

There's very few hackers on the PC side, you get better control, better "twitch" gameplay, more players per side, and I imagine it still has a higher player-base than the console versions. It's just damn awesome.

Ok well i bought CS:global offensive, Alan Wake, sniper elite, and a bunch of other shit. I really dont know why Im buying all this shit. I have 20+ PS3 games I havent played, 8-10 PS2 games, 2 good Xbox games, Diablo 3, Arma 2, Battlefield 3, Skyrim (only like 1/3 the way thru, but like a couple hundred hours I think, but its on PS3. Dunno whether to buy a copy to play on my nice computer, or just finish it on PS3?), star wars, the old republic (nice waste of 60 bucks+ two months game time...that I used for like 1 week before starting diablo+ others), Civ 3 and 4....you get the idea...plus like 14 more games in my steam library that I havent even booted up once. Havent played either Half life.

And now Im considering buying COD 4 again on steam, just because. Theres gotta be a physical copy somewhere online for cheaper than $20.

Oh yeah and I got the SKIDROW copy of Witcher 2 and a torrented copy of Indigo Prophecy (Fahrenheit), but I can't figure out how to do what you need to do with the .bin files and virtual drive to get it working, and I dont even know a safe program to use (it seems like all the -Iso downloads on cnet are full of viruses and adware).
