Hypothetically, would a fake ID work for getting an MMJ card?

So, a friend of mine wants to get a fake CA ID (he won't be a resident for another year) from silkroad so he can get an MMJ card and do a shop run thing (he buys for people, and they pay him). would this work? Doctors normally only require a valid driver's license for a recommendation, don't know about MMJ clinics.

How long does it take to become a resident? It's only 3 months in some states.
