What maddens me is, why do people give a fuck about "art" so much. Picasso especially. So some guy drew a few jacked up geometrical figures onto a big sheet of paper a hundred years ago. Who cares?? Why is this shit worth tens of millions of dollars? People should get their priorities straight

You could tell nobody they interviewed in that news segment honestly gave a shit. The only art I'm personally interested in is shit from way back - like sculptures from Ancient Rome. And even then I have no desire to see them in person, I'm just happy jacking off to photographs. Those sculptures have been destroyed to pieces already (obviously, considering their age) but its not the piece itself that interests me, it's the story it tells about that time. I consider them visual representations to a much more interesting prospect.
