Yeah I have unlimited data on my prepaid phone, but it sonly 3G...tethering doesnt do me a whole lot of good with this. But even if they did catch you, the extra fee to tether i think is only like ten bucks. If you dont pay that, theyll probably just throttle you.

Makes me think though, with the area I live in...I might just get a prepaid 4g phone and do the same thing. Itd probably be cheaper than my home service.

I grandfathered into an "unlimited" plan with AT&T (which is about the only reason why I still use AT&T) and they throttle you to a literally unusable speed after 3GB usage. It's ridiculous, even Zoklet (which is generally one of the fastest loading sites I use on a regular basis) take 10-15 seconds to load up a full page, discounting any images, which literally never load before I've thoroughly read everything on the page and gotten bored.

I actually think Im going to have to run my bittorrent off of my 3G phone.... Im about to go over my data limit for the 4th time this month.

Fuck ATT. Is it just me, or is 100GB not a whole lot of data for someone who actually DOES things online? I think they must assume the majority of people who use their services are 40-somethings who read their emails and shop for suede vests, and middle school kids doing a report. I can go through like 15-20Gb a day, easy. I dont even really watch Tv anymore....its pretty much Netflix 24/7.

Video will eat your bandwidth right up. You'll save a little if you disable seeding on your torrents, but that's kind of a dick move. Honestly if you're willing to stick to axxo style, 700MB video, torrents probably use less bandwidth than nexflix anyway.

holy fuck, how much do you people netflix that you can use up 100 GBs in a month with it? I torrent movies and shows all the time and still only DL maybe 30-50 GBs throughout the month. How do you even have the time to watch that shit?
