Favourite fancy dress costumes?
I never used to like fancy dress much, but it's grown on me a lot over the last few fancy dress parties I've gone to. Now I positively love it and make an effort to have a decent costume.
The last one I went to I was dressed as a bunch of grapes. I used 32 high-quality green balloons, a lot of string and green hairspray, then made three body-encompassing string loops of balloons and attached them over my shoulders. A few other balloons on the strings over my shoulders, green UV hairspray everywhere with brownish shoes, brown combat trousers and a green t-shirt completed the ensemble. Best outfit I've ever made, IMO, but pretty tricky to manoeuvre in. Although on the plus side, doing nitrous and having a bed of balloons to lie back on is immense.
What are yours?

Re: Favourite fancy dress costumes?
I should point out that student fancy dress and kiddie fancy dress are worlds apart.

Re: Favourite fancy dress costumes?
Yeah, I assumed that. I haven't worn anything that could be called a costume since that age...

Student fancy dress is just there to give girls an excuse to dress as sluts.

It's great, right?
My university runs a ball every year called the Safer Sex Ball. They hand out condoms and contraceptives everywhere, and it's pretty much compulsory to be either flamboyant or near-naked. There are also more girls than guys in attendance.

Alex from A Clockwork Orange. Just dress in white, with white braces, a black bowler hat and a pair of doc martins. Easy.

Re: Favourite fancy dress costumes?
A sleazy/untrustworthy guy. I did this when I found a way to get into a ball without an invite. Nobody there knew me. I stood in the corner almost the entire time, and whenever I moved I walked with a kick in my step. I wore a professional suit (though I was considering wearing a purple zoot suit), kepped my shoulder-length hair slicked back, and shuffled a deck of cards. I looked around shadily, and to keep myself from laughing hysterically I bit my tongue so hard it bled. Ideally I would have liked to look like that guy on The Simpsons, but I can't shuffle that fast, and I don't smoke.

White Trash is a good one. Just get a white garbage bag, and make holes for your legs. Easy, and get's some LOL's.
