Pandemic vaccine funding cut.
First off, fuck Arlen Specter (That dopey, stupid motherfucker) for helping the GOP to cut the funding for our Vaccine programs, and our Pandemic readiness programs. Secondly, fuck Arlen Specter again.
While they were going through, cutting the Stimulus bill, they happened to find the large sum of money (Around $800-900 Million) allotted for our Vaccine production funding unnecessary.
Now, instead of being ready to vaccinate the full 300+ Million people residing in our country, we have the capacity (In six months, mind you.) to vaccinate one fifth of our population.
Now, we're dealing with one of the viruses responsible for 1918 Flu Pandemic (One third of the world gets infected, 50,000,000 die.), with a mortality rate of just less than 10%, and it's showing up all over the fucking place.
Aside from being very pissed off at the Republicans responsible for cutting it (Perhaps it wasn't economically stimulating, but fuck, cutting Pandemic readiness shit is never a good idea), but I'm also very pissed off at the current Administration and the Government for having not come up with another bill to designate funding for such an important purpose.
