Default Double-stepping stairs, is it enough?

i have recently decided to lose weight. i weigh 180 pounds, yeah i know im abit towards the heavy side so i think that when walking stairs if i skip a step and climb stairs 2 at a time i will lose weight!

since i go downstairs for a snack every like half an hour and then come back up to play XBOX LIVE, i guess if I would skip a step to make me feel more force on my legs (there are 14 steps in my stairway, plus the carpet and mat). if i lose 1 pound like this every 2 days imagine how i will be in a year!

Just stop playing Xbox so much and eating so much shit. That'll do.

Don't mean to break it to you, but double stepping stairs isn't going to do a damn thing.

You mean there are people who don't double step stairs? Maybe as someone with fairly long legs I am somewhat biased, but I can't really imagine someone actually stepping up each little stair every time they want to traverse the stairway. That would be like someone riding a bike with their ass on the seat the entire time. Or someone actually exercising on the equipment at the park. You know what I mean?

After consistently following my routine I have noticed a 2.5 pound gain. After analyzing my situation, I now think that the weight gain was due to the changes in gravity that follow me going up and down the stairwell throughout the day. I have assessed this situation, by purchasing a mini-fridge, which I now keep next to the couch. I will refill this with snacks on a daily basis, so as to avoid the gravitational changes to my weight caused the going up and down all day long. I'll post results next week.

Sounds like a sound plan.
