If you want a ride home your ass better run" or something along those lines then just leave... we used to do this when we were poor, stoned and just plain hungry/thirsty

a good technique [note this will only work for teens] is to grab the product u want. make sure u are wearing a hoodie etc. now go into an isle with books. grab one and find a suitable place to sit {floor/corner/chair) read the book for ten minutes and all suspicioun is gone. you now have up to 30 minutes to discreetly get the stuff out of the box and into your sleeve. make sure you only cut the box at corners! after putting the box together again, replace it to where u got it from saying "i really dont need this." leave.

works all the time at best buy. this is how i got the PoGo printer.
Could you explain this again? I don't really get the point.

now you can grab somethin big, put it in the stores branded plastic bag with a fake recept, and walk out.

beep beep beep! oh its just busted. *walks away*

to avoid suspicion the friends stik around for a while beepin the thing. sell the goods and split the cash.

this works well for "Big things in a little box" projectors, computers, 2TB hard drives, xboxes, blue rays...

oh, and whats a "thank?" sounds good... so please "thank" me.
dumb idea, and by no means "original" so you do not deserve a thanks.

better idea would be to slip the stickers into people's bags, purses, pockets, and when they are ready to leave, the alarm will sound.

honestly, i have the magnets that are taped together, if you want it, i'll sell it to you for $20 bucks, shipped. it works on alpha cases, but it doesnt work well. thats why i got the extra money and bought an alpha key, another seller on this site sells them for $100 bucks, so my price was reasonable.

"bump" is not an original signature... ive seen "bumps" hella

umm.. stealing electronics is hard, security for that shit is pretty legit

off topic..
grocery markets(atleast where im from) had the most legit security, maybe i was just really suspicious but i had been caught once by an outsourced security company and once by an undercover cop, its cause they lose so much money from people stealing that they find it more worthwhile to spend serious money on security. hiring teams and private agencies(usually consisting of cops who need a side job) so maybe itd be good to hit places where security is more lax

these days i actually walk around with a shoulder bag that zips, ill just carry something around and wen know ones looking shove it into my bag, it hangs at my hip so its rather inconspicuous. i hit mostly clothing department stores cause racks are usually shoulder height and better for concealement, nordtroms mite be a bad idea but nordstroms rack is prime

over the last week ive gotten over a 1000 dollars in merchandise
this is in japan tho... where i llive

Anonymous,

Thanks for info about your alpha keys. I have a few questions about it:

1) are what is the polarity of the magnet arragement? for instance, are all the North poles facing up (in the 2x2 matrix of magnets), and south facing down, or is it some other way?

2) how do you use the key? just wave it over the spider's body and then wait for some sign that it's deactivated and then rip it off? or do you need to even rip it off?

2.5) if 2 is yes, then do you wave the south poles over the spider, or the north poles, or not sure.

3) can this be used to deactivate the little white rectangular plastic EAS tags?

4) what is your way of going about doing this? like someone just said, he goes to read a book for a while until he is not noticed anymore and then does what he does?

Okay so, if I tried to lift some stuff from say a mall clothing store, and I took the security device off, would I have to take the price tag off as well with the barcode, or does that have nothing to do with the alarms? I would take all the tags off, but then it forces me to keep the item for myself, or give it as a gift.

Any thoughts?

For EAS systems the best way to do beat them is to walk out of the store at the same time as someone else carrying a bag from the store. If you time it correctly it'll look like either one of you could have set off the alarm, and you can just assume deniability and keep walking. The other person probably will stop and assume that their items have not been demagnetized, by the time they realize anything is up... if anything at all, you'll be long gone.

you can keep the tags on, barcodes do not set off alarms.

unless they are puffy. like these:

these are sensormatic barcodes.

there is also a type of sticker thats metallic that sets off alarms. barcodes do not set off alarms, i repeat, barcodes do not set off alarms. they are simply pieces of paper printed with lines and numbers, there is no device to send frequencies to the security(EAS) towers. simply take off the tag, and you're good. but be thorough, ive seen shirts accidentally tagged twice. (or perhaps it was another thief who put it there?)

Err.. no barcodes on the boxers are never magnetized... and they never have little bumpy magnetic stickers under them.

The only thing I've ever seen before is those thick barcoded stickers that have foil under them. they are usually never magnetized, but if you are refering to those... then yes.. if you are refering to the barcodes that you find on a box that have been printed onto the box... then no.

Okay, went to the mall today and went into my favorite clothing store. First I noticed they didn't even have alarms up and at the other malls they do. So I looked at clothing for a while then went to the jewelry and picked two sets. Went back to the clothes, tried a couple on and put them back. The earrings didn't have a security sticker on them, so I kept the price tags on them, hid them and walked right out. Nice thing is, they take back anything without a receipt and give you a gift card so now I can go back and get some nice jeans or something.

I did notice that all the clothes had those long pin tags on them, so those would be a little harder to lift.

for big jobs, craft stores sell liquid latex. dip yojur fingertips in some of that stuff. when it dries its invisible and doesnt leave a fingerprint.

i wear very big sleeves when i plan to go liftin. it makes things so much easier. escpeccialy in radioshack. that store has no eas system. grab the item, and when you lower your arm your sleeve drops down and covers your hand. walk out :-). works good for cologne, sunglases, stuff like that. fleece hodies work the best. it is harder to see irregularities in fleece.

lawl saw my LL thread did you?
glad i could help, and remember if you get grease or powder on the latex it might leave a faint one so its best do dip them and then put them on a textured surface to dry.

How can you tell if a store has an eas system? Some stores in my mall (like American eagle, abercrombie, etc..) don't have those gates at the entrance/exit, but the clothes still have the eas tags on them and the alarm still occaisionally goes off on people.

Some stores put tags on to scare ppl, but I wouldn't bet on it cuz it's probably like 1% of stores.

And all stores are different. It depends on where you live. If u go to a walmart in the inner city with all the criminals, then chances are that everything will be protected. But if u go to a walmart in the suburbs or something, then security might be a little looser, it depends on where all the criminals are and how many shoplifters there are.

Well in the grocery store near my house there is no functional alarm at the door so I buy a few small items at the self checkout and steal the rest. this seems to be the most risk-free way to shoplift.

I can't really tell by your picture, how many magnets do I need? I'm only a teen, please explain what a "4x4 array" is. Thanks

edit: your picture looks like you have 4 magnets that are arranged 2x2. Otherwise if it were 4x4, then you would need 16 of those magnets.

Ps: do they sell shapelock at any store? (so I can steal that too)

that can go both ways though. In a suburb all the customers are preppy and uppity, and it makes you look more shady by comparison so you may get noticed more.
