If you took the keys, be assured the locks and codes have been changed.

could be the keys and codes for any one of the neighbors houses who went on vacation. they arranged for the people in that house to look after their house while they were away but when they went to drop the keys off before leaving for the airport nobody was home. so cuz it was all arranged they dropped the keys in their mail box and just sent them a text. might not even be in the same street.
or the keys could have just been left for the day or a few hours for a workman while the owner was at work.
in any case, my betting is on if they are there and are to that house. that the OP will be such an inexperienced muppet, even with the alarm codes he'll be unable to find the touchpad and work out how to enter the code in time for the alarm to not go off. and even if he did he'll prolly leave his fingerprints on all the keys.
and for all the OP knows they could have pre arranged with whoever the codes are for that whatever is written down will be one digit up or down from the actual code. maybe even 2 or 3 or maybe just the first or last number is different or the whole code is written in reverse. if i ever had to do such a thing that's exactly what i'd do. they don't call them codes for nothing you know.
