Your metaphysical bullshit aside, I will just say that, physical looks play a huge part in eliciting emotions in a human being. For example, you would ( I am assuming you are a straight male) be attracted to a female with a beautiful face, whereas you would not be attracted to a man with a manly face. Cute little babies would elicit caring responses from you, whereas an adult would elicit much less, or some other completely different kind of feelings from you.
