How many of you have/had HPPD?

I think 5-MEO-MiPT gave me that shit. I've taken acid before plenty of times with no ill effects on my vision but after a couple moxy doses I sometimes see small sparks of colorful light in a small part of my vision, especially in the dark. Lots of "static" but I've had that before I ever did drugs. Think it's getting better now that I'm getting more sleep, I hardly see flashes anymore but yeah I'm not touching that shit again.

I get an absurd amount of fractal layering over my vision and color changes. Walls wobble sometimes and if I concentrate i can create any OEV or CEV i want. It doesnt bother me and goes blurred out of notice most times but come time to sleep nothings better than watching tv in your own head

Iam just glad it stayed strictly visual and not auditory. I have very poor vision though and I dont have glasses anymore so everything to me is pretty blurry. Id assume it aids in the OEV's ability to take shape. Idk but it dont really bother me, I kind of enjoy it. I've gotten it from diphen and mescaline, but the most interesting one was from LSA. Over 6 years later, I'm still seeing the shit.

When I was peaking, I dimmed the lights in hopes of increasing the visuals. When I was staring into the mirrors, I kinda unfocused my eyes and expanded my peripheral vision. What happened scared the crap out of me. My face disappeared, and I suddenly noticed this glowing rainbow aura all around me in the mirror.

I tried doing it again when i was sober, and in different kinds of lighting. Including natural sunlight, complete dark, electric lights or candles, and blacklights. The results were mostly the same. I didn't get the colorful aura like before, but I did see one with a bluish tint. It was easiest to see against a white background, which made it's true color more visible.

Sometimes when I looked at human aura's while they were talking to another person, I noticed bright energy shooting through it. Some people had much more vibrant and larger aura's, like a Swami I met in a Hindu temple. Eventually I didn't have to expand my peripheral vision like before, and I could see it even when directly focusing on the person. I could see it clearly around every living thing regardless if I wanted to or not. It became automatic and unconscious.

I began to think it was caused by my myopia (nearsightedness), because the aura would condense and become smaller if I put on my glasses. Eventually I got lasic eye surgery, but I could still see the auras just as I had before. I guess the corrective lenses distorted the light entering my retina somehow, and it wasn't my eyes that were the problem. So far I haven't discovered many uses for this new ability though.

After giving it some thought i think i might have a tiny bit of HPPD. I sometimes see small white balls of light out of nowhere that linger for a moment in my direct field of vision. I also get brain zaps from time to time, though strangely enough i got these zaps all the time when i was withdrawing from fentanyl.

Nothing too serious though, quite possibly not even HPPD just general wierdness, thought i should share

I can sit and stare at an object and purposely make it move or become staticy or something similar but for the most part everything goes unnoticed.

It doesnt bother me any, only drug related attribute i curse daily is having temporal lobe epilepsy/simple partial seizures from well over 150 DXM trips in my teen years. Nothing says I want to die like getting insane 10 second seizures over 20 times a day.

They start out as deja vu of dreams ive had turned real life scenarios, kind of like sensing you've been given the information on the future and now your being punished for it. From there my headspace turns so surreal and revolting feeling and I gag and throw up with 45 seconds to five minutes of torturous dizziness and sickness.

Oddly enough nicotine works to subdue them completely since its a crude form of an MAOI. So basically if i quit smoking or go a few hours without a cigarette then iam bombarded with multiple seizures an hour.

Shit sucks... but it is a fantastic reason to stay a smoker

I don't understand how you could get seizures from DXM considering I've been doing it daily for almost two years now. I get side effects of brain shocks when I skip a daily dose though

Sometimes I get black orbs floating around or skittering away before I can focus on them. I also get voices in my head telling me to do things like mow the lawn, clean my room, get back to work on painting etc. It's a positive, productive voice so I keep it around without dispelling it.

One odd occurrence was when it tried to take physical form as a dragon and fucked me in the ass. Fucking a disembodied entity is quite interesting albeit unsettling because I feel like I'm plunging farther and farther into schizophrenia.

Whenever I sat down in my basement to rest or meditate, I got this sensation of little spider legs crawling on me. For a while I thought I had HPPD but one day I cleaned out the basement and found it was actually infested with spiders that were crawling all over my body.

Nothing too strong, but stuff seemed off for a bit. I haven't done acid in a bout 3 weeks, though I have done shrooms once and it seems to have faded for the most part.

Long time HPPD-er checking in, I've had it for nearly 7 years now, after a 420mg robo trip when I was a dumb 16 year old. Woke up with "visual snow", auras, and halos the next morning. Thought they would get better with time. They didn't .

Honestly though after this long it doesn't bother me anymore, although at first I used to really focus on it and it gave me a lot of anxiety.

It's worth noting that DXM's "high" is always a really awful experience for me, I've never done it more than 5 times at doses above 90mg (the doses at 90mg or lower weren't for DXM itself, they were for potentiating something else)

I sorely miss my HPPD. The summer I was 16, I tried acid, and then kept on taking it every few days, as soon as it would work again. Anywhere from 2-5 hits a dose (and this was gooood acid; you'd get visuals off one piece. )

The whole following school year, white walls had colored squiggles crawling up them, and doors and windows were kinda twitchy. It was very entertaining to watch while bored in class. It slowly went away after about a year, and it left me feeling empty and lonely, like you might after ending a long-term relationship.

I don't think about it much anymore, but I really wish I still "suffered" from this "disorder; " I'm not in a good enough place psychologically to go all out tripping like that anymore, though.

I had some minor HPPD when I was smoking cannabis.

It came and went, but when I was smoking a lot I'd get audible hallucinations and things in my periphery vision. In the early years (of possible relevance this was pre-LSD), it was solely audible. Mostly minor things that I wasn't sure if I could hear it or not, occasionally when I'd lie down to sleep I wouldn't sleep but would instead be in a sort of trance, with music and things. Once it was particularly intense, horrible grinding sounds which built up to be VERY loud and ending with a massive explosion type sound which shocked me into full conciousness. I had been smoking that day though, so it may not count.

In later years, and when I was taking LSD and 2C-E now and again, I saw things at the boundary of perception (i.e just being able to make small things out, hazy things, or in my periphery). At times that got a little freaky, people standing in doorways and shit and seeing the faces of people I know (but completely random, like no reason to see them) start to form in the leaves of trees. I could mostly tell what was a hallucination, but the most unnerving thing was occasionally releasing something you had glanced at or caught in your periphery vision (and mentally registered) earlier hadn't actually been there.

I quit smoking, and only occasionally use other psychedelics now. I don't have the problem anymore, though after taking something strong I'll continue to hallucinate mildly until I get a good long sleep, even if lots of time has passed.
