literally flexing my brain like a muscle
I know there aren't any muscles in a human brain that is capable of it but after doing a lot of DXM I seem to have discovered an ability to flex my brain.
I simply focus my attention to a specific spot and contract it somehow. If I want to contract my frontal lobe, for example, I focus my attention to it and flex it like a muscle. The same can be done with the back, left, right, and top of my brain.
I now have been incorporating this into my daily exercises. I lie flat on my back and flex every muscle possible one at a time until they become exhausted. I do this with my brain as well until I get a slight headache. I seems if I do it regularly I can contract my brain for longer periods of time before I start feeling a headache. So far I can only do it for about 2-3 seconds before I must rest.
Anyone know whats going on with my brain when it flexes or can share some related experience?

Re: literally flexing my brain like a muscle
Muscles requires specialised cells to contract, which your brain doesn't have. I think you may have fucked your brain up, so whenever you go to think it is like "OH GOD KILL ME NOW". I think you should lay off the drugs, your brain is clearly suffering.

Re: literally flexing my brain like a muscle
ITT: Sepht strains his eye muscles while focusing on certain areas of his brain and gives himself a headache, then misinterprets it as a superpower.
Seriously though I don't know. You're not flexing it anyway, which you already know. It's probably placebo/delusion, eye strain, and/or stress headaches. You focus so hard on anything it'll give you a headache. Just "focusing" on a part of your brain doesn't activate it, so it's not electrical. To exercise different lobes of your brain you'd have to engage them.
So yeah. Sounds like you're just focusing really really hard until the tension/stress/strain/BP increase causes a mild headache.

I agree it's most likely muscles surrounding my brain putting pressure on it. I remember when I used to do kung fu we used to do exercises with our eyes where we would look up down and side to side. There's also a meditation exercise that involves pressing your thumb to your head and vibrating your head with a thoth tongue roll. This produces similar results as simply flexing the muscles around your brain.
The posts in this link sheds a small light on what exactly is going on but it's still a mystery until someone with a background in brain science can give a definitive answer.

Re: literally flexing my brain like a muscle
Theyre different cell types with different cell anatomies. Muscle cells contain contractile fibers of actin and myosin, which contract and cause motion. The brain is made of neurons, which is completely different in structure. There really arent any muscles that can affect the brain directly
But you can just think about it by asking yourself what evolutionary (or heck, even intelligent design) purpose does allowing voluntary flexing of the brain serve??

Increased blood flow/oxygenation, reduced lag between neurons while the brain is contracted.
Who knows. I sure as shit don't, because it can't happen, but if it could... it gives you psychic powers. I mean why not? lol

Re: literally flexing my brain like a muscle
its probably this:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tensor_tympani_muscle
"Contracting muscles produce vibration and sound.[4] Slow twitch fibers produce 10 to 30 contractions per second (equivalent to 10 to 30 Hz sound frequency). Fast twitch fibers produce 30 to 70 contractions per second (equivalent to 30 to 70 Hz sound frequency).[5] The vibration can be witnessed and felt by highly tensing one's muscles, as when making a firm fist. The sound can be heard by pressing a highly tensed muscle against the ear, again a firm fist is a good example. The sound is usually described as a rumbling sound. Some individuals can voluntarily produce this rumbling sound by contracting the tensor tympani muscle of the middle ear. The rumbling sound can also be heard when the neck or jaw muscles are highly tensed as when yawning deeply. This phenomenon is known since (at least) 1884 (cf : Tillaux Paul Jules, Traité d’Anatomie topographique avec applications à la chirurgie, Paris Asselin et Houzeau publishers (4°ed. 1884, p. 125 ))."

Re: literally flexing my brain like a muscle
What you are all forgetting is that there are arteries coursing throughout the brain, and a layer of arterial wall is made of smooth muscle cells. Sepht has harnessed the power to voluntarily contract normally involuntary contractile muscle cells. Congratulations Sepht. We should all do more DXM.

Re: literally flexing my brain like a muscle
I can do this with the front only, the 'third eye' or pineal gland. It started with focusing my attention there. I'd roll my eyes back towards the center of my forehead. I meditated a lot like this, and one day I felt my hair touching right between my eyes, but when I went to brush it away I found it was already pushed back. It remained as a light pulsation in my forehead.
The sensation only grew stronger, enough that it at this moment it feels like somebody is pressing their thumb into my brow. Now I can make this happen at will, the gland will just flair up. Occasionally it happens without my intent, which is always somewhat alarming to me.
There are many supposed abilities that come with it. Since this 'activation', if you will, I've had some cognitive changes. Mostly in ability to focus, emotional management, etc. Plus some other neat stuff.
As far as I understand, it's just becoming aware of bodily processes. It's strange how we can feel vibrations in the ground through our feet, or through the air with our ears, but we can't perceive what's going on directly inside our own bodies; I think it is possible though that we can sense these actions. I don't quite know how to explain it, apart from the whole 'calcified pineal gland' argument, which has little scientific credibility as far as I understand. Though increased secretion of melatonin would account for how I can focus myself to sleep now... hmm.

This is a very interesting concept that I wish to explore further. Temporal lobe epilepsy does appear to have some connection to alleged spiritual or religious experiences in many cases that have been studied thus far.

Did you know that the brain itself has no pain receptors? Once you've drilled through the skull you can root around in there all you like and they won't feel a thing.

So that's what that is! I randomly get what feels like my eardrum twitching and it sounds like really low bass fluttering super fast.

I saw in some taoist shit that you can contract the various plates that make up your skull. Perhaps this is what you've discovered to do. That's pretty sick.
