RVM`s aka Can return machines

These machines scan the barcode and then crush the can/bottle/etc. What if you were to copy a barcode and buy/get a bunch of otherwise non-returnables (waterbottles, dixie cups, etc the list could be endless) paste the barcode on and then return them for the deposit? Possibly an easy, low-risk way to make some extra cash

My friend did this and it worked. He recycled a Burger King cup and got five cents...

There are way better ways to make money. This is extremely lot profit for forgery.
