But Tommy Lee Jones... dude was fucking old last time I saw him in anything and that was a while ago. He was my favorite part of MiB too. Is this going to be shot as "MiB meets Weekend at Bernie's" or will they just CG him into the role of the character he played?

What's that, IMDB? Tommy Lee Jones is still alive and he's in MiB3? In that case yes. I will be seeing this movie... from the comfort of where I'm sitting right now, at home. I have a feeling Will Smith is passed his prime and looking to cash in on any blockbuster property he can get a sequel to. Tommy Lee Jones is definitely just doing this for shits and gigs [and the money]. Assuming it's got a solid... or even semi-solid writer... I'll probably go see it in theaters too. The liquid puddles of shit who were responsible for MiB2 better have nothing to do with this one though.

I loved MiB growing up. It's probably one of my favorite all time movies. It even got a cartoon deal. There was an MiB cartoon right? Yeah. I think. I'm pretty sure it wasn't a fever dream but cartoons back then were weird. So maybe a fever dream. Can't rule it out. If it was real I can't remember shit about it other than "it existed" and me enjoying it.

MiB 2 was a pretty shitty movie though. In my opinion. I was young enough that I didn't hate it the first time I saw it after it had recently come out, but looking back... fuck. Shit sucked more cocks than all your mom's combined. Which is to say it sucked a lot of cock. Just... too much dick. Dick's everywhere.

You know what other awesome sci-fi movie got a cartoon series based on it (a surprisingly awesome one IIRC; check it out) and a pretty shitty sequel? Starship Troopers. The first one rocked. Starship Troopers 2 was as shitty of a sequel as MiB2 was, and the third Starship Troopers was also pretty dismal. Best case scenario I imagine is MiB3 sucking just as much as MiB2 did. Worst case scenario it'll suck as bad as Starship Troopers 3.

Granted Starship Troopers' sequels were all straight to DVD (I think)... but MiB2 was like a straight to DVD sequel at least in terms of how incredibly "meh" it was. It had a silver screen budget for special effects and casting, sure. I'm guessing the director did too much coke or something though, which lead to one of his coked out whores being left in charge of the screenplay. It had none of the... atmosphere or charm that the first movie had. It was building off a successful movie and starred the Fresh Prince of motherfucking Bel-Air at a time when that meant something to the general public and it sucked regardless. Now both of the lead actors are out of the limelight and old enough to be worrying about adult diapers and cancer.

So yeah... I'm not very hopeful about MiB3. Obviously.
