Lightbulb Suing the lottery.

I'm starting to get REALLY pissed off about spending all this money and not getting any big winners. It just isn't fair. So heres my plan.

I'll go out and get a life, (a job, make friends, go to school, get a g/f, etc) and build a nice life for myself so eveyone can see how much I improved and how good i'm doing. I'll start saving up money until I got like a couple thousand, then over the span of like 3-7 days i'll withdrawl all the savings from the ATM and sell most of my stuff and make a bunch of large bets and buy alot of tickets.

If I win, i'll go enjoy the money. If I lose, i'll sue the state lottery for their predatory advertising, which takes advantage of gambling addicts such as myself, and seduced/manipulated me into losing everything, so they would owe me compensation since they're responsible for me losing all my money.

Why not just keep working and saving after acquiring a job, a house, and a savings account?

Besides, you strike me as the kind of person that wins mega millions, then files for bankruptcy three years later.

Isn't going to happen. If you think of something - anything - there's a 9.9/10 chance that you're not the first person on Earth to think of it.

People have tried suing the lottery before. Ask yourself this - if they can afford to give away almost 640 million dollars - don't you think that they can most likely afford a better lawyer/law-team than you?

On the flip-side, couldn't they just throw $10 grand at me to settle?

Well, I mean...sure! There's no reason why not. The only problem is - and this is a problem Casino's face, too. If they were to just settle a case or two, it sets a relatively dangerous precedent. They're going to fight tooth and nail to make sure you back down. That's the only problem.

Besides, Actor - why think years and years ahead when you could very well win the lottery tomorrow? Aren't you getting ahead of yourself here?

You're a huge faggot.

You deserve not to win for playing such a loser's game.

At least gamble in a casino, it's more fun, better odds, and you get free booze and stuff.

Na, casinos will fuck you. The best "get rich quick scheme" is probably poker. And that's still a shitty idea. But if you're good enough (you probably aren't), you could still make some decent money.

Actors problem is that he's playing lottery tickets rather than going to a casino. The payout on those tickets is less than the payout at a casino...or so I've heard.

That WILDLY depends. For instance I won 250$ last week by winning 2 tournaments and lost 3 in a row since.

It is entirely luck based once the cards are shown. Your best bet at winning at poker is to prevent cards to show up at all costs.

I didnt bother to read all the comments but lemme help you with your plan. Heres a little story I'll quote. Im actually considering it myself as I won 600 on my first bet on my 21st bday.

"In 2004, Ashley Revell of London sold all of his possessions, clothing included, and placed his entire net worth of US$135,300 on red at the Plaza Hotel in Las Vegas. The ball landed on "Red 7" and Revell walked away with $270,600.

he gave $600 to a dealer as a tip, said "thank you!", and left the casino.[4] Revell used his winnings to set up his own online poker company called Poker UTD.[5]"

Luck is a huge factor, but psychology and betting strategy is at least 70% of poker. If it's a small enough blind, you can fold every time until you get a solid winning hand, then slowly build up the pot and take everything.

Of course, if you're playing with professionals this won't work as well. I'm referring to just the regular, low buy-in tables. No competitions. Just drunk people on vacation with too much loose cash.

Try to pull that off at my table and I guarantee luck won't save your stack. It's way too obvious. Best way to out people playing too "cautious" hands is to constantly raise over them. Yeah sure 1 time out of 10 they'll really have what it takes to call and win the hand, but the rest of the time they'll fold RIGHT after the flop if things don't go as they planned or try to all-in you when it's retardedly obvious there is no way they can beat your hand (well of course they don't know that but they're just trying to scare you).

My best advice if you're doing sit & gos or tournaments is to play each and every hand if someone doesn't raise the blinds until a full round of said blinds start to represent 1/3 of your stack. (well you can call if you at least have an ace or a king from my pov).

This will allow for some fucked up combos early on and will totally throw off the opponents when you'll start playing "seriously" later on. Plus you'll usually have the stack to be able to "fold into the money" before starting to play again.

DO NOT EVER try an early pre-flop all-in, even with AA. It is pure suicide. Pull that kind of shit when your stack is vastly superior to your opponent (chances are only 1 people will risk an all-in vs you at superior stages as a hail mary).

Also, if by any chance your stack should represent 2 or 3 times the average of the table because some idiots tried to pull an obvious bluff, STOP PLAYING. Let them eradicate eachother. Your stack is consequent enough to guarantee you a prize, don't risk it.

Think i'll try to dig up my game reports to show what kind of moves you can pull in a tournament to more or less guarantee getting in the top 10. Last 2 tourneys we were around 400 and ended up first twice (kind of easy money for tournaments with a 1$ entry fee haha).

Last thing:

You won't make ANY money worth your time in poker if you play ANYTHING BELOW a 10 to 20$ entry table (for sit & gos our tourneys). Lower tables are a nest of idiotic players who will call on you with pathetic hands and most of the time WILL beat you by playing like complete imbeciles. Even if you have AA or KK and go all in, there's no telling 2 other idiots on the table WILL call your hand and end up with a flush or something. (yeah well I won around 400$ with these tournaments but it's a combined playing time of more than FIFTEEN hours)

OP definitely do this. It's win/win. You'll probably win a lot of money playing lottery and even if you don't sue them for alcohol money.
