Cigarette Filters
Ever since I saw Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas I was intrigued by the idea of reusable cigarette filters. I found the exact TarGard permanent filter system HST used at Rite Aid for $5. I instantly fell in love. The smoke was so smooth, like sipping through a straw, it had extra time to cool, and the filtration system actually does spin off quite a bit of tar. Over the past years I have acquired many different models of cigarette filters. The most effective are ZOBO brand and come from China. The amount of tar extracted from one cigarette is incredible. The filtration design sucks smoke through three pin holes, the change in pressure spins off heavier tars, which are clearly visible. I have recently stopped using them all together as I am too lazy to clean them, but for a while I wouldn't ever leave the house without one. Anyone ever use similar systems?
Basic design of most ZOBO styles, 3 pieces.

If you make a joint with a paper filter, like a nice sturdy one, and get one of these, your nigger lipping days are over friend. Pass all you want and smoke to the end.

My buddies and i used to make joint holders out of pens. Sure it's ghetto and everything, but it's fun and you can definitely smoke it down. I've used them for cigs too. It's all for shits and giggles but if it makes you happy, do it. Right?

Re: Cigarette Filters
Yeah those look pretty pimpin to me. I imagine they don't cut down on the strength on your hit? Like if I were to use one, would I be craving a cig earlier? If I have to smoke something like a marlboro light 100, I cut like half the filter off so I can get a good hit.
How much would one cost at a headshop? And i'm pretty sure i've saw them before and you just buy a box of new glassine/plastic filter thing's that catch the tar? What are the price's like? Unless I come up with a job I would probably not even use it because I just can't afford any extra un-needed luxurie's just because it look's/feel's cool.

Well it all depends. Targards are around 5 bucks and will last forever. Just clean them in alcohol. Zobos are anywhere from 5 - 9 bucks and have to be ordered online, always free shipping from DinoDirect. Zobos have perfected the filtration process, so yes, the tar filtered out is much greater.
They are just a neat little device to have to have a cool cleaner smoke. Maintenance is very low, and costs are cheap. I love to put unfiltered cigs in them, the way I see it is that it filters more tar than the origional filter, drags smoother and I still get my fix.
