Facebook to go public and the evasion of taxes

Facebook will soon go public and Eduardo Saverin is renouncing his U.S. Citizenship and will move to Singapore to evade the taxes on his 4% of the shares in FB that he owns.

This has angered some people who are all for canceling their FB page to cause the price of the shares to fall.

Singapore is one of the top cities in the world. Better healthcare than the US as well as lower crime, not to mention the fantastic culture, nightlife, and economy. I plan on living there for probably six months to a year at some point, and if I like it enough I'll be there permanently.

I think Singapore may be a bit 'stale' as a place to hang out all the time.. very clean, efficient, safe, beautifully governed, etc (apart from a brutal life for the poor sector), but maybe a bit too bland in the end. If I was rich though I'd still move there, because 'nam, Laos, Thailand, Japan, India, Australia, etc are all cheap flights away.. you could spend most of your fun time in these places while using Singapore as your base.

All they do is denounce their own citizenship, get themselves a foreign citizenship, get a foreign address, then register themselves as living there, when the entire time they haven't moved an inch from their Manhattan penthouse and don't intend to. Just because you have a legal citizenship elsewhere, and an address elsewhere, and don't have a citizenship for your own country, does not mean you can't still live in your own country the entire time. This way these sleezeball wastes of skin can still enjoy the the permanent residence and luxuries of their places of birth but they pay no taxes whatsoever. And it's their butt-buddies in the government who allow them all to do this and even encourage it, since most of those useless fuckwits are doing exactly the same thing.
