So I've been fucking with this program for a few days.
Just spent three-four hours on some orchestra-type shit, and fucked up the timing on one of the piano patterns and just built around it, turns out you can only change the tempo of the entire song, not just one pattern
you're saying you want different things playing at different tempos, simultaneously? it would be easiest to just shorten or lengthen the note values to what fits.
also, you can set it to change tempo whenever and however many times you'd like.

you just need to familiarize yourself with it and it becomes like nothing
and timing is easy, setting different tempos and stuff. if you're using the piano roll, you can just double the length of the notes or whatever. you know? you can change the length of notes so that they play slower or faster depending on what you want.

Arley, the quote in your signature sucks and is gross....You need to change it. Sorry man, but it's the truth. I'm not dissing you personally either, just the quote. - Infrared
Yeah I was trying overlapping melodies and was doing them all seperately.
I deleted most of it cause it would've taken too long to stretch/shrink all the notes. Here's whats left
I need to remember to make a new pattern for each instrument/melody next time.
yeno that's actually pretty good, at least when i compare it to my first thing i recorded
edit: i'm referring to your track i mean

Man, shit's just hella frustrating, finding the right sounds/apps to match what's you hear in your head
Cool though, it's not like I expected to learn it in a few days
michael scott that's pretty sweet! i don't care too much for it as far as personal listening tastes go, but production value is obviously pretty polished

Turboneger: download lots of plugins for VST synths and mixer plugins. That opens up a whole new world as far as sound design goes.
I like the Massive synth program from Native Instruments. This is a huge program with seriously endless options for synth design.
Also, start downloading sample packs from anywhere - i like MusicRadar. They have a new high-quality sample pack every week or so. Build that collection up and you'll see your opportunities.

I mainly just use FL as a sequencer and VST host, myself. this is some stuff I threw together really quick a few years ago, just to have a Project Rodney.
